Mayor Warkentien presented for Council's consideration a variance CONDITIONAL USE and conditional use request from Paul Ciernia, 1868 Holton, to erect AND VARIANCE a utility shed. Councilmember Stone moved, seconded by Councilmember PAUL~:CIERNIA McGough that the variance and conditional use be granted. Motion 1868 HOLTON carried unanimously. Lawrence Sieberlich, representing Bob Moder, presented proposed PLANS FOR ~~ plans for an eleven unit condominium which would be built oii Mr. CONDOMINIUM Moder's property at 2061 W. Larpenteur. Councilmember Steele 2061 LARPENTEUR moved, seconded by Councilmember McGough, that the matter be re- REFERRED TO ferred to the Planning Commission. Motion carried unanimously. PLANNING COMM. Mayor Warkentien read a request from residents of Tatum Street requesting "no parking" on the. cast side of Tatum as far north as 1795 Tatum. Councilmember McGough moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, that some of the residents of Tatum Street be requested to attend the September 12, 1979 Council Meeting to discuss the matter. Motion carried unanimously. REQUEST FOR NO PARKING ON EAST SIDE OF TATUM DEFERRED TO SEPT. 12 Engineer Lemberg informed Council that it will be necessary to re- RELOCATION OF locate the Roselawn Avenue water main (Fairview to Cleveland) due WATER MAIN to the fact that during reconstruction of Roselawn the road will ROSELAWN AVENUE be lowered considerably to provide better drainage for the homes along Roselawn Avenue. The Water Department has given 3 options for the relocation of the water main as follows: 1. Adjust water main, service connections and hydrants (all work by the Water Utility) $30,350.00 2. Adjust water main, service connections and hydrants (pipe- work by the Water Utility, excavation, backfilling and pipe handling equipment by County contractor) $10,555.00 3. Adjust water main, service connections and hydrants (all work by County contractor, including pressure and electrical testing, inspection by the Water Utility) Inspection costs $2,000.00 Engineer Lemberg recommended that the change be made by the County contractor as part of the street project in order that the cost will be covered by State Aid Funds. Councilmember McGough moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, that Option ~~3 be implemented, the work being done by the County con- tractor, with inspection by the Water Utility, with the stipulation that the contractor pay for the inspection, thus including it in the State Aid Contract. Motion carried unanimously.
