MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />AUGUST 22, 1979 <br />PAGE 4 <br />of Larpenteur to Roselawn, during the State Fair. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Craig Schauffert, a member of the Falcon Heights Fire Department and OLD FIRE TRUCK <br />Rescue, informed Council that the Fire Department has been offered TO BE SOLD FOR <br />$1,500.00 for the old fire truck and asked authorization to complete $1,500.00 <br />the sale. Councilmember McGough moved, seconded by Councilmember <br />,Steele, that Clerk Administrator Barnes prepare the necessary paper- <br />work for Craig Schauffert to complete the sale of the old fire truck <br />at a price of $1,500.00. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Councilmember McGough opened for discussion the subject of obtaining GRANT ASSISTANCE <br />further information from International Systems, Inc., a grant assist- FIRM TO BE <br />ante firm. Councilmember McGough moved, seconded by Councilmember CONTACTED <br />Steele that Clerk Administrator Barnes be authorized to contact <br />International Systems, Inc., Atlanta, Georgia, requesting they send <br />a representive to attend a future Council Meeting to present their <br />program and answer questions. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes informed he had checked into the cost of BIDS TO BE <br />a new pickup for the City. Council authorized that he draw up OBTAINED ON <br />specifications and obtain signed bids for both 1979 and 1980 models NEW PICKUP <br />and present them for Council's consideration. <br />Council discussed the problem of dogs running loose in the City and ANIMAL CONTROL <br />how the situation can be corrected. Clerk Administrator Barnes was TO PATROL FIRST <br />requested to contact MAPSI (animal control) and arrange for them to WEEK OF SCHOOL °~ <br />patrol the first week of school (September 4-7) from 7 to 9 a.m., <br />the area bordered by Larpenteur, Hamline, Snelling and Roselawn. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes presented a preliminary introduction to <br />the 1980 budget which will be discussed at a future meeting. <br />Councilmember Steele moved, seconded by Councilmember McGough, that SEPTEMBER 12, <br />the Regular City Council Meeting scheduled for September 12, 1979, 1979 MEETING <br />be held at 6:00 p.m. in order that there will be ample time to work TO BE HELD AT <br />on the budget for 1980.
