MINUTES REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING AUGUST 22, 1979 PAGE 4 of Larpenteur to Roselawn, during the State Fair. Motion carried unanimously. Craig Schauffert, a member of the Falcon Heights Fire Department and OLD FIRE TRUCK Rescue, informed Council that the Fire Department has been offered TO BE SOLD FOR $1,500.00 for the old fire truck and asked authorization to complete $1,500.00 the sale. Councilmember McGough moved, seconded by Councilmember ,Steele, that Clerk Administrator Barnes prepare the necessary paper- work for Craig Schauffert to complete the sale of the old fire truck at a price of $1,500.00. Motion carried unanimously. Councilmember McGough opened for discussion the subject of obtaining GRANT ASSISTANCE further information from International Systems, Inc., a grant assist- FIRM TO BE ante firm. Councilmember McGough moved, seconded by Councilmember CONTACTED Steele that Clerk Administrator Barnes be authorized to contact International Systems, Inc., Atlanta, Georgia, requesting they send a representive to attend a future Council Meeting to present their program and answer questions. Motion carried unanimously. Clerk Administrator Barnes informed he had checked into the cost of BIDS TO BE a new pickup for the City. Council authorized that he draw up OBTAINED ON specifications and obtain signed bids for both 1979 and 1980 models NEW PICKUP and present them for Council's consideration. Council discussed the problem of dogs running loose in the City and ANIMAL CONTROL how the situation can be corrected. Clerk Administrator Barnes was TO PATROL FIRST requested to contact MAPSI (animal control) and arrange for them to WEEK OF SCHOOL °~ patrol the first week of school (September 4-7) from 7 to 9 a.m., the area bordered by Larpenteur, Hamline, Snelling and Roselawn. Clerk Administrator Barnes presented a preliminary introduction to the 1980 budget which will be discussed at a future meeting. Councilmember Steele moved, seconded by Councilmember McGough, that SEPTEMBER 12, the Regular City Council Meeting scheduled for September 12, 1979, 1979 MEETING be held at 6:00 p.m. in order that there will be ample time to work TO BE HELD AT on the budget for 1980. Motion carried unanimously. 6:00 P.M.
