MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 12, 1979 <br />PAGE 2 <br />t~ <br />Councilmember Brown informed Council that Roseville Recreation Depart- FALCON HEIGHTS <br />went will increase the fee for non-resident senior citizens who wish SENIOR CITIZENS <br />to belong to a Roseville Senior Citizens Club. For this reason there CLUB TO BE FORMED <br />is interest in forming a Falcon Heights Club. <br />Art Lindig, 1875 W. Larpenteur, addressed Council requesting that the <br />City of Falcon Heights sponsor a Senior Citizens Club for Falcon Heights <br />residents. Councilmember Steele moved, seconded by 'Councilmember Brown <br />that the City sponsor a Falcon Heights Senior Citizens Club. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Hans Schirrmeister, 1779 Tatum, representing residents on Tatum, appeared EAST SIDE OP <br />before Council requesting that No Parking signs be posted on the easy TATUM TO BE <br />side of Tatum. Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilmember Steele POSTED NO <br />that the east side of Tatum be posted No Parking as far north as 1776 PARKING <br />Tatum. Motion carried unanimously. <br />1 <br /> <br />Mr. Schirrmeister also brought up for discussion the drainage problems <br />in the Tatum and Lindig areas. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes informed Council that Alexander and Alexander PROPOSED RISK <br />has proposed an Insurance Risk Analysis for the City of Falcon Heights ANALYSIS <br />at a cost of $1,875.00. Councilmember McGough moved, seconded by Council- <br />member Steele that the City not consider the Risk Analysis proposal. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Mayor Warkentien proposed an ordinance to change parking violation fees PARKING FINES <br />from $5.00 to $15.00. Councilmember McGough moved, seconded by Mayor TO BE INCREASED <br />Warkentien, that Clerk Administrator Barnes be authorized to prepare an TO $15.00 <br />ordinance changing parking violation fees from $5.00 to $15.00. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Mayor Warkentien presented to Council a request from Erma Olson, Section ' ERMA OLSON <br />8 Housing Specialist, for an increase in salary from $4.00 per hour to SALARY <br />$5.00 per hour. After some discussion Councilmember McGough moved, seconded INCREASE <br />by Councilmember Stone that the matter be delayed until January, 1980. REQUEST <br />Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye": Councilmembers Steele, DEFERRED <br />McGough and Stone, and the following voted "nay": Mayor Warkentien and <br />Councilmember Brown. Motion carried. <br />Mayor Warkentien presented for Council's consideration a Conditional CONDITIONAL <br />Use request from Bob Moder to erect condominiums at 2061 W. Larpenteur. USE REQUEST <br />After a discussion Councilmember McGough moved, seconded by Council- BOB MODER <br />member Brown, that the Conditional Use not be approved until such as <br />more complete plans are provided, Motion carried unanimously. <br />Councilmember McGough moved, seconded by Councilmember Brown that the <br />Consent Agenda be approved as presented.
