MINUTES `~ <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />SEP'1'EMBEK 26, 1979 <br />PAGE 4 <br />Councilmember Steele informed Council that he feels the Clerk PART TIME SEWER <br />Administrator should not be repsonsible for various duties that MAINTENANCE MAN <br />ordinarily fall under the Maintenance Department. After some TO BE HIRED <br />discussion Councilmember Steele moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, <br />that a part time sewer maintenance man be hired at a maximum salary <br />of $6,000, that amount to be charged to the Sanitary Sewer Fund. <br />Councilmember Steele stated that he believes Council Members should CGUNCIL:SALARIES <br />receive some compensation for time spent at meetings other than TO BE INCREASED <br />regular council meetings. After a discussion Councilmember McGough 10% <br />moved, seconded by Councilmember Steele, that Council salaries :~ <br />be increased by 10% per month, and that the Clerk Administrator be <br />authorized to publish Ordinance 167. <br />ORDINANCE N0. 167 ORDINANCE 167 <br />AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE SALARIES OF THE MAYOR <br />AND COUNCILMEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO THE <br />CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS AND REPEALING ORDINANCES <br />130 AND 143. <br />Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, <br />Councilmembers Steele, McGough and Brown, and the following voted <br />"nay": None. Councilmember Stone abstained. Motion carried. <br />Mayor Warkentien reported on the open house at the new Senior NEW SENIOR CITIZEN <br />Citizens Center at Lake Owasso School. The open house was very CENTER OPENED <br />successful and Mayor Warkentien commended Councilmember Brown and <br />Falcon Heights resident, Art Lindig, for their work on the project. <br />Councilmember Steele moved, seconded by Councilmember Brown, that ADJOURNMENT <br />the meeting be adjourned at 9:58 p.m. Motion carried unanimously. <br />_, <br />~; ~-C.CillR 1....
