MINUTES REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING OCTOBER 10, 1979 PAGr 4 Attorney Kenefick informed Council that he had reviewed plans for the proposed condominium at 2061 W. Larpenteur, and he, at the present time, would recommend that the Conditional Use request be denied, as he does not believe the plans are in compliance with the ordinance. He stated he was particularly concerned with the side yard set back, the height of the building and parking space. Clerk Administrator Barnes reported on the progress of the Comprehensive Plan and informed that the plan is nearly ready for compiling a rough draft. Councilmember McGough noted that he felt completion would take 3 or 4 days and that he and the Clerk Administrator would meet and spend the necesssry time for completion if Council so desires. Council agreed to accept the offer. Councilmember McGough informed Council that he felt he could no longer be an effective member of the Falcon Heights City Council and would resign effective immediately. Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilmember Brown to accept the resignation of Pete McGough as Councilmember for the City of Falcon Heights. Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Brown and Stone, and the following voted "nay": Councilmember Steele. Motion carried. Clerk Administrator Barnes presented a letter from Paul Kirkwold, Ramsey County Engineer, reporting that there are parking problems on Larpenteur Avenue west of Cleveland and suggesting that "No Parking" be posted in that area. Councilmember Steele moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, that Resolution 79-23 be adopted. RESOLUTION 79-23 A RESOLUTION REQUESTING R[~MSEY COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS TO POST "NO PARKING ANYTIME" ON THE NORTH AND SOUTH SIDE OF LARPENTEUR AVENUE BEGINNING FROM CLEVELAND AVENUE, TO FULHAM S'1 REE'1' . Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Steele, Brown and Stone, and the following voted "nay": None. Motion carried. Mayor Warkentien presented the following staff salaries which had been budgeted for 1980: Clerk Administrator $25,000 Secretary $10 560 Deputy Clerk-Finance $12,000 Maintenance Foreman $16,104 Maintenance Man $11,352 Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilmember Brown that the budgeted salaries be accepted. Motion carried unanimously.
