MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />OCTOBER 10, 1979 <br />PAGr 4 <br />Attorney Kenefick informed Council that he had reviewed plans for <br />the proposed condominium at 2061 W. Larpenteur, and he, at the present <br />time, would recommend that the Conditional Use request be denied, as <br />he does not believe the plans are in compliance with the ordinance. <br />He stated he was particularly concerned with the side yard set back, <br />the height of the building and parking space. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes reported on the progress of the Comprehensive <br />Plan and informed that the plan is nearly ready for compiling a rough <br />draft. Councilmember McGough noted that he felt completion would take <br />3 or 4 days and that he and the Clerk Administrator would meet and <br />spend the necesssry time for completion if Council so desires. Council <br />agreed to accept the offer. <br />Councilmember McGough informed Council that he felt he could no longer <br />be an effective member of the Falcon Heights City Council and would <br />resign effective immediately. Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded <br />by Councilmember Brown to accept the resignation of Pete McGough as <br />Councilmember for the City of Falcon Heights. Upon a vote being <br />taken the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers <br />Brown and Stone, and the following voted "nay": Councilmember Steele. <br />Motion carried. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes presented a letter from Paul Kirkwold, <br />Ramsey County Engineer, reporting that there are parking problems <br />on Larpenteur Avenue west of Cleveland and suggesting that "No <br />Parking" be posted in that area. Councilmember Steele moved, <br />seconded by Mayor Warkentien, that Resolution 79-23 be adopted. <br />RESOLUTION 79-23 <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING R[~MSEY COUNTY BOARD <br />OF COMMISSIONERS TO POST "NO PARKING ANYTIME" <br />ON THE NORTH AND SOUTH SIDE OF LARPENTEUR <br />AVENUE BEGINNING FROM CLEVELAND AVENUE, TO <br />FULHAM S'1 REE'1' . <br />Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, <br />Councilmembers Steele, Brown and Stone, and the following voted "nay": <br />None. Motion carried. <br />Mayor Warkentien presented the following staff salaries which had been <br />budgeted for 1980: <br />Clerk Administrator $25,000 <br />Secretary $10 560 <br />Deputy Clerk-Finance $12,000 <br />Maintenance Foreman $16,104 <br />Maintenance Man $11,352 <br />Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilmember Brown that the budgeted <br />salaries be accepted.
