MINUTES <br />SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />DECEMBER 13, 1979 <br />PAGE 4 <br />Councilmember Steele moved, seconded by Councilmember Brown that all ALL OTHER <br />City insurance except for dram shop insurance, be renewed with the INSURANCE TO <br />Paul Breher Agency (Home Insurance Company). Motion carried unani- BE RENEWED WITH <br />mously. BREHER AGENCY <br />1 <br />A discussion was held on the inconsistencies in the City's parking <br />ordinances and Attorney Kenefick was directed to examine the ordin- <br />ances and in some way make them more consistent. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes gave an up-date on the Comprehensive Plan <br />and indicated it might be necessary to ask for an extention as there <br />is still much to be done. He also presented maps for the Comprehensive <br />Plan which were prepared by the City's Engineering Firm. Councilmember <br />Stone moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, that the Clerk Administrator <br />be authorized to hire a person to complete the Comprehensive Plan. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />~.o~ <br />PARKING <br />ORDINANCES <br />INCONSISTENT <br />COMPREHENSIVE <br />PLAN UP-DATE <br />,. <br />Councilmember Stone informed Council that the Planning Commission Meeting COUNCIL AND <br />held December 10, 1979 was not very productive as members seemed unsure PLANNING COMM. <br />of what to do, and he felt it would be wise for the Commission to meet TO MEET JOINTLY <br />with Council, and at that time, the duties of the Commission could be JAN. 16, 1980 <br />discussed in full. <br />Mayor Warkentien meowed, seconded by Councilmember Stone, that a Special <br />Joint Meeting with the Planning Commission be held January 16, 1980 at <br />7:30 p.m. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mayor Warkentien reported to Council that the Northwest Suburban Youth YOUTH SERVICE <br />Service Bureau Fund Drive has provided adequate funding for the Bureau BUREAU <br />for the year 1980 and that there are some contributions still coming in. <br />Councilmember Steele moved, seconded by Councilmember Brown that the ADJOURNMENT <br />meeting be adjourned at 9:49 p.m. Motion carried unanimously. <br />~~'~ <br />Willis C.
