MINUTES fr <br />SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL METING ~'~ <br />JULY 16, 1980 <br />PAGE 4 <br />r <br />RESOLUTION 80-17 RESOLUTION <br />80-17 (cont.) <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION IN THE <br />NORTH SUBURBAN CABLE COMMISSION <br />Included in the Resolution is the appointment of Councilmember Eggert <br />as Director and Councilmember Steele as Alternate Director. Upon a <br />vote being taken the Resolution was adopted unanimously. <br />Attorney Kenefick presented Resolution 80-18 which he had drafted for <br />Council's consideration. After a short discussion Mayor Warkentien <br />moved, seconded by Councilmember Steele that Resolution 80-18 be <br />adopted. <br />A RESOLUTION PROPOSING AN 8% INCREASE OVER THE RESOLUTION <br />BASE AUTHORIZED BY PRIOR LAW AND AN ADDITIONAL 80-18 PROPOSEI <br />10% ONE TIME INCREASE AUTHORIZED BY LAWS, 1980, LEVY LIMIT <br />CHAPTER 607, ACTICLE II, SECTION 21 INCREASE <br />Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, <br />Councilmembers Steele, Brown, Eggert and Larson, and the following <br />voted "nay": None. Motion carried. <br />Mayor Warkentien presented for Council's approval the following Fire BROUILLETTE & <br />Department applicants: ZUST JOIN <br />' FIRE DEPT. <br />1. Steven A. Brouillette, 1710 W. Larpenteur, Falcon Heights <br />2. Jeffrey L. Zust, 2026 Brewster, Apt. 2, St. Paul <br />Councilmember Brown moved, seconded by Councilmember Larson, that both <br />of the applicants be approved subject to completion of a physical and <br />the 1 year probation period. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mayor Warkentien read a request from the Mayors of Brooklyn Park and REQUEST FOR <br />Eagan requesting financial support on drafting a drug paraphernalia FUNDS FOR <br />ordinance. Councilmember Eggert moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien DRUG PARAPHER- <br />that the matter be referred to the City Attorney for his opinion. NALIA ORD. <br />Motion carried unanimously. REFERRED TO <br />ATTORNEY <br />Mayor Warkentien presented for approval a request to authorize payment <br />of $40.00 to Shirley Sethna, 2147 Hoyt, to cover reimbursement of the $40.00 PAYMENT <br />non-resident fee paid to the City of Roseville for enrollment of her TO SETHNA <br />son in the Roseville Mentally Retarded Day Camp. Council had previous- FOR RETARDED <br />ly agreed that rather than donating a sum of money to the Roseville DAY CAMP FEE <br />Day Camp any financial assistance to Falcon Heights citizens would be <br />considered on an individual basis. Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded <br />by Councilmember Steele that the payment of $40.00 be authorized. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Engineer Lemberg informed that he had on several occasions checked the ALLAN MARTIN <br />~ driveway at the Allan Martin residence (1802 Arona) which was not re- DRIVEWAY <br />
