Maas be approved subject to completion of the required physical and the one year probation period. Motion carried unanimously. Mayor Warkentien called the Public Hearing at 8:00 p.m. to consider PUBLIC the proposed tax levy limit base increase of 10% over and above the HEARING 8% which is permitted. CREASES RESOLUTION 80-20 RESOLUTION 80-20 ~ A RESOLUTION ADOPTING AN 8% INCREASE OVER THE BASE AUTHORIZED BY PRIOR LAW AND AN ADDITIONAL 10% ONE TIME INCREASE AUTHORIZED BY LAWS, 1980, CHAPTER 607, ARTICLE II, SECTION 21 Councilmember Larson seconded the foregoing resolution and upon a roll call the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Eggert and Larson and the following voted against: None. Motion carried. Mayor Warkentien read a request from Flower City to have a display FLOWER CITY of merchandise outside their building from August 20, 1980 to TO HAVE September 2, 1980. TO 9/2/80 Mayor Warkentien informed Council that it would be necessary to set REVENUE SHAR a Public Hearing for the purpose of establishing the use of the ~ ING PUBLIC Revenue Sharing Funds and authorize publication of the Hearing Notice. MEETING SET Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilmember Larson that the FOR 8/27/80 Public Hearing be set for August 27, 1980 at 8:00 p.m. and that the Clerk Administrator be authorized to publish the notice. He informed CABLE TV that he and Councilmember Steele had attended the North Suburban UPDATE Joint Powers Commission meeting July 31, 1980 and that the purpose of the meeting was to establish by-laws.
