Councilmember Eggert again ATION CASE <br />offered to serve as a witness if needed. <br />Acting Mayor Brown informed that the regularly scheduled meeting of the CABLE <br />North Suburban Cable Commission will be held on August 28, 1980 at 7:00 COMMISSION <br />p.m. at the Roseville City Hall. Councilmembers Eggert and Steele will TO MEET <br />attend. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes presented Resolution 80-23, prepared by <br />Attorney Kenefick, such Resolution adopting new gas installation fees. <br />Councilmember Larson moved, seconded by Councilmember Eggert that the` <br />Resolution be adopted as presented. She Pr~OBLEMS <br />`t informed that there was a problem on the street where she lives, the di s- DISCUSSED <br />patcher was called, and the deputy never responded. She also has been <br />receiving complaints from citizens who claim they never see the deputy <br />patrolling. <br />Councilmember Steele related an incident in his neighborhood where the <br />police did not respond and the Roseville police finally were called and <br />responded. He also had received a call from a sargeant in the Sheriff's <br />Department telling him to stay out of police business following his complaint <br />regarding a car speeding and not stopping at stop signs. <br />Councilmember Larson moved, seconded by Councilmember Steele, that the <br />Clerk Administrator be directed to contact Sheriff Zacharias and air <br />the complaints and also that he pursue a possible regional police force, <br />which could include the 7 contractual communities. Motion carried un- <br />animously. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes informed that Floy3 Security (after many months) LIQUOR STOP: <br />still has not completed the security measures on3ered for the Municipal SECURITY <br />Liquor Store. After the matter was discussed Councilmember Steele moved, SYSTEI~i <br />seconded by Acting 1`,a.yor Brown that the Clerk Administrator check other DISCUSSED <br />security firms regarding servicing the present system at the store and to <br />report on the matter at the September 10, 1980 meeting. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />~ Councilmember Larson inquired as to whether or not any member of the Council SPECIAL <br />ha.s the authority to grant permission to park in the areas posted "No Park- PARKING <br />ing". She was assured that each member has one vote only and that one PRIVILEGE <br />member should not be able to grant such privileges. Councilmember Larson DISCUSSED <br />feels it is unfair to other residents who also have parking problems at <br />Fair Time and that the practice should be discontinued. <br />
