MINUTES <br />SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 17, 1980 <br />A special meeting of the Falcon Heights City Council was called to order <br />by Mayor Warkentien at 7:00 p.m. <br />Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Steele, Brown, Eggert and Larson. Also PRESENT <br />present was Clerk Administrator Barnes. <br />None. ABSENT <br />Mayor Warkentien informed Council that he had received a letter (and a DARRELL KRENT~ <br />personal visit) from Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Krentz, 1711 Albert, who had 1711 ALBERT <br />cabled a split boulevard tree on the recommendation of Mark Stennes, TO BE RE- <br />City Tree Inspector. The tree was then damaged in a storm on September IMBURSED FOR <br />8th and the tree was removed by the City. Due to the misunderstanding CABLED TREE <br />Mr. Krentz requested that the City reimburse him the cost of the cabling, <br />$110.00. Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilmember Brown, that <br />Mr. and Mrs. Krentz be reimbursed $110.00 as requested. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />During a discussion Councilmember Steele stated he felt Dr. French, <br />the City Horticulturist, should make Gure the Tree Inspectors be fully <br />versed regarding City policies. The Clerk Administrator was directed <br />to discuss all tree inspection problems with Dr. French. <br />Mayor Warkentien presented proposed Resolution 80-24 authorizing the <br />Clerk Administrator to be the designated official to sign the appli- <br />cation for eligibility in purchasing of government surplus properties, <br />and moved its adoption. Councilmember Larson seconded the motion, <br />which carried unanimously. <br />RESOLUTION 80-24 RESOLUTION <br />80-24 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DELEGATING THE CLERK <br />ADMINISTRATOR TO BE THE DESIGNATID OFFICIAL TO <br />SIGN THE APPLICATION FOR ELIGIBILITY IN PURCHASING <br />OF SURPLUS PROPERTIES <br />Mayor Warkentien presented for consideration Resolution 80-25 certify- <br />ing the bonds and interest collectible in 1981 through 1983 (Water- <br />main and Sanitary Sewer Improvement Bonds dated 10/1/63). Councilmember <br />Steele moved, seconded by Councilmember Eggert that the resolution be <br />adopted. Motion carried unanimously. <br />RESOLUTION 80-25 RESOLUTION <br />80-25 <br />A RESOLUTION CERTIFYING THE BONDS AND INTEREST <br />COLLECTIBLE IN 1981 THROUGH 1983 <br />Mayor Warkentien presented for consideration Resolution 80-26 certify- <br />ing the bonds and interest collectible in 1981 and 1982 (General Improve- <br />ment Storm Sewer Bonds of 7/1/67). Councilmember Larson moved, seconded <br />by Councilmember Brown that the resolution be adopted.
