MINUTES ~ ~ ij <br />SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />DECEMBER 22, 1980 <br />PAGE 3 <br />i <br />Councilmember Larson commented on Metro Council's preliminary review of METRO COUNCIL <br />the City's Comprehensive Plan.and stated that she felt that a letter PRELIMINARY <br />should be drafted and sent to the City of St. Paul regarding that City's REVIEW OF <br />comments on the Storm Sewer portion of the Falcon Heights Plan. Some F.H. COMP. <br />discussion followed after which Councilmember Larson requested that the PLAN. LETTER <br />Clerk Administrator search out all documents relating to the St. Anthony TO BE WRITTEN <br />Storm Sewer Project and then write a letter to the City of St. Paul ex- TO ST. PAUL <br />plaining the City's past involvement in the matter, a copy of the same REGARDING ST0 <br />to be sent to Metro Council. SEWER PORTION <br />Councilmember Eggert reviewed the progress of the North Suburban CABLE TV UP- <br />Cable Television Joint Powers Commission. The Commission is now in DATE <br />the process of determining the needs and requirements, which will <br />be presented to firms interested in bidding on the franchise. <br />Councilmember Eggert expressed the Commission's hope that Councils <br />of all communities involved will be supportive of the final franchise <br />request prepared by the Commission to minimize any possible litigation. <br />Engineer Lemberg commented on the Roseville City Manager's letter CITY TO REPLY <br />objecting to St. Paul's proposal to allocate charges to cities out- TO ST. PAUL <br />side St. Paul for overflow of storm water at Lake Como. The Engineer REGARDING <br />recommended that Falcon Heights write Metro Council a similar letter LAKE COMO <br />strongly objecting to the St. Paul proposal. OVERFLOW <br />Councilmember Larson inquired as to whether the City Attorney's letter NO RESPONSE <br />to owners of the properties abuting the walkway between 1740 and 1746 ON WALKWAY <br />Holton had instigated any response. The Clerk Administrator informed LETTER <br />that no response has been received. <br />Councilmember Steele reported that vehicles are running the stop signs RUNNING OF <br />on Garden Avenue and requested that the deputy be directed to enforce STOP SIGNS ON <br />both the speed limits and the stop signs on Garden Avenue. GARDEN AVE. <br />Mayor Warkentien read a note from the Falconeers Senior-Club thanking THANK YOU <br />the Mayor, Council and office staff for service and support during FROM FALCONEE~ <br />the past year. <br />Councilmember Larson moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, that the ADJOURNMENT <br />meeting be adjourned at 9:52 p.m. Motion carried unanimously. <br />.-- <br />~~ f~~~ ~ <br />Willis C.
