Councilmember Jacobs said the two absent councilmembers had <br />discussed the mayoral salary at a city workshop and were comfortable with <br />it at that earlier meeting. Councilmember Hustad moved to approve the <br />salary increase for the mayor's position. Mayor Gehrz concurred that she did <br />spend more time as mayor than as she had as a Councilmember prior to being <br />elected mayor. However, she explained that she was voting against the <br />motion because the salary increase would apply to her if she won re-election <br />for another four year term starting in 2000. The motion passed with <br />Councilmember Hustad and Jacobs in favor. Gehrz opposed. <br />UPDATE ON 1998 ACCOMPLISHMENTS <br />The city administrator reviewed the action items and accomplishments for <br />the council. <br />UPDATE ON PROPOSED CHANGE TO THE CITY'S LIQUOR ORDINANCE <br />Mayor Gehrz updated the council on the meeting held with liquor licensees <br />• regarding the proposed changes in the city's liquor ordinance. She explained <br />that more work will be done on this. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />The meeting adjourned at 7:45 p.m. <br />Susan L.
