The Council discussed the site <br />plans, and questioned T~-':r. John Paulson and Mr. ~ialph Shinier, <br />architects for Shakey's Pizza. Attorney Stalland reported that <br />they had received permission from Team Electronics to start <br />construction, unconditionally. It was also noted that parking <br />space was adequate, and that Shalrey's was negotiating with '.?SP <br />for the sale or lease of additional parking area. ~~ttorney Stalland <br />stated that he felt Shal:ey's was in compliance vaith the Falcon Heights <br />ordinances, and could not see an~T reason why preliminary approval <br />could not be granted. I'he Shakey's Pizza signs Urere discus~~~.. , as <br />well as the sign dimensions in regard to ordinance. It was also <br />noted t'nat the main sign would be bacTtilit. Ken Sackett's letter in regard to the parking problem on 191 LAPyP. <br />the ',worth side of Larpentuer Avenue was presented to the Council <br />for discussion. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Sackett were present, and voiced <br />therr_ minions to the Council. Councilman Black. noted that°"r?~ <br />P~.rkin~'signs are not located on the east side of 191 Larpenteur. <br />-~r. SacTrett stated that at 1~g1 j~Test Larpenteur people had never <br />been tagged or stopped for parl~ing until recently, when they <br />would parT~ east of the sign. ?ie further stated that there is a <br />proble;r with the paint designating no parl~.ing by that sign. sir. <br />Sacl~ett further stated that there are misunderstandings, and that <br />the sign should read: "'ldo ParT~ing Here to Corner,'" to see if thy. <br />would take care of the situation. Engineer LeYr;berg agreed faith <br />Mr. Sackett, with respect that the sign is not definite for the <br />end of the block. ~Councilr~an Black suggested that if people are <br />assuming that there are no restrictions, for parking east of the <br />sign. Clerk-Administrator B,~rnes stated that he had talked to <br />the County, and that painting is required. Councilman Black <br />moved, seconded by Councilman Ecklund, that the County be notified <br />that they ~~roperly sign that area of the Tdorth side of Larpenteur <br />between Pascal and Arona. T~iotion carried. <br />T~Zrs.
