TiARY AT'~IPERG <br />Prosecuting Attorney Ronald Riach discussed with the Council <br />the new :'=unicinal Court system, and the problems that have I'°iUT1ICIPAL <br />been created. IIe noted that the time for procedures had COURT <br />SYSTEII <br />doubled, and that the time spent in the prosecution process <br />is the result of the inefficiency in the system itself. <br />Mayor ti°~arlientien noted that the League of GTomen Voters would IiEALTH FGRUT~ <br />hold an open Health Forum Thursday, February 20, 197 at <br />Alexander Ramsey Tiigh School in the cafeteria. He further LEAGUE Or <br />i~dGAETd 'JC TF,R~. <br />noted that Senator John Tnilton would be present at the forum. <br />Mayor Warkentien noted that Representative Neil Dieterich <br />had written him a letter to see if Falcon heights would have <br />anything for him to bring up at the legislative session. <br />The Council mentioned the following items: Court syster,:, <br />Senator John T~iilton Health Bill, Ean the Can, Ramsey County <br />policing, countywide ambulance s,ysten:s, County Court `.'fines, <br />County maintenance, wine-liquor licenses for restaurar_ts, <br />and botzding without a referendum. <br />Attorney Kenefick presented proposed Ordinance 139 in regard <br />to Commercial Parking Lct T~Iaintenance, and discussed the <br />changes from the original draft. He noted that section 5 <br />woule~. bring the owner into compliance, and that violation of <br />this ordinance would constitute a misdemeanor. Mayor <br />WarT~entien as~red if this taould apply to apartments in R-3 <br />zoning. Councilman Labalestra stated that he felt the <br />ordinance was well written, and that it would help enforce <br />parking lat maintenance.
