FINANCIAL PT'?'OHT Mayor U~Tarkentien moved, sewn ded by Councilman Steele, to send a letter of appreciation to Bruce Rushton for T?is participation in the Citizen's LE'~"TT'~: OF Committee, and to pay 'pie expenses for report preparation. Upon a vote APPP~ECIATION TO being taken, the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Counciimer~ BRUCE RUSHTON 'Mack, Ecklund, Steele, and Labalestra, and the following voted "nay11: None. Motion carried. Possi~ie new official posting places for Falcon Heights were discussed; DISCUSSI01`d OF possibilities mentioned were the drug store and recreation building. POSTITdG PLACES The letter from NSP in regard to rate increases were noted. NSP LETTER The Council discussed the codification of ordinances, and set up a meeting ORDINANCE for April 3, 1975 at 7:30 p.m. to proceed with the codification. CODIFICATION The Building Inspec~or situation was discussed, with several of the council- BUILDING members giving examples of '~ e problems the present inspector has had in- INSPECTOR specting certain jobs. A vote was t.a~:en by roll call to see if the present DISCUSSIOPI Building Inspector should be reta w~.ed, and the vote was negative. The Council suggested that Clerk -Administrator Barnes conduct a search for a new Building Inspector, and to have possibilities ready next meeting. MayorT~+Tarkentien requested the possibility of appointing a Health Officer, and suggested the possibility of appointing Larry Bjork or Keith Loken to fill the position, to be discussed at the next meeting. The letter from the Metropolitan Parks and Open Space Commission in regard to the meeting of Tuesday, March 18, 1975 at 7:30 p.m, was discussed. The 1~tter from the City of St. Paul in regard to proposed ornamental lighting for Snelling-Avenue from Midi*ay Parkway to Hewitt was discussed. The Council directed Clerk ,Administrator Barnes to secure a description. HEALTH OFFICER REQUEST T^~TRO PARK AND OPEN SPACE CITY OF ST.
