2 <br />Acting Mayor Ecklund introduced the objection of Mrs. <br />Mildred Seebeck, 1381 West Iowa Avenue, in respect to <br />granting the variance. In her objection, she suggested <br />that the Nelsons place their garage at the northeast <br />corner of their lot. <br />Mrs. Terry Nelson presented a drawing showing the <br />location of the proposed garage and the relationship <br />to their hom®, as well as Mrs. Seebeck's property, for <br />discussion. <br />Mayor Warkentien asked whether the Planning Commission <br />had made a site inspection and he was informed that <br />Councilman Black had reviewed the site before the Planning <br />Commission meeting. <br />Mra. Nelson informed Council that the driveway in the <br />front of their house has been removed and the area sodded. <br />Councilman Labalestra suggested Council review the site <br />prior to taking arty action. <br />1 <br />Mrs. Seebeck reiterated that she would insist on the <br />garage being placed at least 5 feet from the sideyard <br />line. Councilman Labalestra suggested to Mrs. Nelson <br />to resubmit plans with exact measurements of the lot and <br />building locations. <br />Councilman Steele moved, seconded by Councilman Labalestra, <br />that the variance request submitted by Terry F. Nelson, <br />1375 Weat Iowa Avenue, be referred back to the Planning <br />Commission for further review with the correct measurements <br />in detail as to lot size and building location due to a <br />misunderstanding as to the amount of variance requested <br />and that it be brought back to Council at the next regular <br />meeting. Upon a vote being taken, the following voted <br />"aye": Acting Mayor Ecklund, Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen <br />Steele and Labalestra, and the following voted "nay": None. <br />Motion carried. <br />Mayor Warkentien presented the variance request of Joe <br />Jancsek, 1808 Tatum, for a 3 foot sideyard variance to <br />permit him to construct a garage 2 fast from his south <br />lot line. <br />Mayor Warkentien read the minutes of the Planning Commission <br />which recommended approval sub3act to Mr. Jancsek complying <br />with the following <br />~: s o <br />NELSON <br />VARIANCE <br />REQUEST <br />CONTINUED <br />VARIANCE <br />REQUEST <br />JOE JANC SEX <br />1808 TATUM <br />1 <br />
