3 1 43 <br />Councilman Steele stated h® felt the trust of the Council in <br />the proper operation of the bowling lanes with regard to the <br />bottle club license had been violated by the lack of proper en- <br />forcement. <br />Moved by Councilman Steele, seconded by Councilman Labalestra <br />to suspend the bottle club license, No. 316, issued to the Falcon <br />Lanes, Inc., 1550 West Larpenteur Avenue, for one (1) month, <br />effective December 12, 1975, and setting a public hearing after <br />the first of January, 1976, to consider permanent suspension of <br />the license. Upon a vote being taken, the following voted "aye": <br />Councilmen Steele, Ecklund, and Labalestra, and the following <br />voted "nay": Mayor Warkentien and Councilman Black. Motion carried. <br />James Duffy, 1961 Summer Street, representing the Falcon Heights HOCKEY <br />Hockey Association, said he had been notified that the Roseville EQUIPMENT <br />Area Schools were disposing of some hockey uniforms and that the PURCHASE <br />Association had already purchased some jerseys, but would also REQUEST <br />like to purchase breezers. C18rk-Administrator Barnes noted <br />there were available funds remaining in the 1975 Recreation <br />Account for the purchase. <br />Moved by Mayor Warkentien, seconded by Councilman Labalestra to <br />authorize the purchase of nineteen breezers at $8.00 a pair <br />(total - $152) from the Roseville Area Schools for the Falcon <br />Heights Hockey Association program with the expenditure to be <br />made from the 1975 Budget appropriation. Upon avote-being <br />taken, the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen <br />Black, Ecklund, Steele, and Labalestra, and the following voted <br />"nay": None. Motion carried. <br />Discussion was held with regard to contacting the Minnesota COLISEtJ~i <br />State Fair Board concerning the possibility of Falcon Heights ICE TIME <br />obtaining ice time at the near Coliseum at a preferential rate. <br />Moved by Councilman Black, seconded by Councilman Ecklund that <br />the Clerk-Administrator write a letter to the Minnesota State <br />Fair Hoard requesting ice time, possibly at a preferential rate, <br />at the Coliseum for the City of Falcon Heights. Upon a vote <br />being taken, the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Council- <br />men Black, Ecklund, Ste®1®, and Labalestra, and the following <br />voted "nay": None. Motion carried. <br />Gary Mueller, a senior student in the Landscape Architecture PARK <br />Program at the University of Minnesota, has been preparing a RECREATIONAL <br />survey in conjunction with the Recreational Advisory Committ®®. SURVEY <br />The purpose of the survey is to obtain data which could be DISCUSSION <br />used to updat® City recreational plans. <br />The Clerk-Administrator suggested that the survey could be <br />distributed by members of the ~-H Club or Boy Scouts and re- <br />turned with sewer payments, which would be due after the first <br />of the year. <br />
