1 4 ~' <br />2 <br />Action was deferred on the proposed Ramsey County Sheriff's RAMS~EY COUNTY <br />Contract until the meeting of January 22, 1976. SHERIFF'S <br />CONTRACT <br />The City Council. of Lauderdale has extended an invitation to JOINT POLICE <br />Mayor Warkentien, a Councilman, and the Clerk-Administrator PROPOSAL: <br />to attend their January,l3, 1976, Council meeting to discuss LAUDERDALE AND <br />a joint police proposal between the two cities and Ramsey FALCON HEIGHTS <br />County. <br />The Clerk Administrator has obtained quotes from Roseville, CITY INSURANCE <br />Richfield, New Brighton, and Burnsville as to the cost of FOR 1976 <br />their insurance coverage, and received bids from the Paul <br />3reher Agency, John H. Crowther, Inc., and Marquette Agencies. <br />Discussion was held concerning different types of coverage <br />and which would be those deemed necessary for adequate coverage. <br />Councilman Ecklund stated he did not think it was necessary to <br />provide coverage for tennis courts or fences in the parks. He <br />also asked if an "umbrella" coverage could be added at a later <br />date. <br />Attorney Kenefick stated the "umbrella" coverage could be added <br />at a later time. <br />Moved by Councilman Black, seconded by Councilman Labalestra that <br />an agreement be entered to purchase insurance, which will include <br />liability coverage of $250/500,000 and an umbrella coverage for <br />$350, for a total expenditure for insurance for 1976 in the amount <br />of $11,226.25 (including Liquor Store) with the Paul Breher Agency. <br />Councilman Labalestra stated he felt the "umbrella" coverage was <br />necessary because of the liquor liability. <br />Councilman Black said he was in favor of increasing the insurance <br />on the contents of the City Ha11 building. <br />After further discussion, Acting Mayor Black with drew his motion. <br />Councilman Labalestra withdrew his second to the motion. <br />Moved by Acting Mayor Black, seconded by Councilman Labalestra <br />that insurance needs for 1976 for the City of Falcon Heights be <br />purchased from the Paul Breher Agency, 625 Stryker Avenue, Saint <br />Paul, Minnesota, which will include liquor liability and compre- <br />hensive general liability coverage at $250/500,000, and also to <br />increase the contents coverage on the City Hall from $10,000 to <br />$20,000. Upon a vote being taken, the following voted "aye": <br />Acting Mayor Black, Councilmen Ecklund and Labalestra, and the <br />following voted "nay": None. Motion carried. <br />Moved by Councilman Labalestra, seconded by Councilman Ecklund REDESIGNATING <br />to redesignate the Justice Court Change Fund as the Treasurer's JUSTICE COURT <br />Change Fund. Upon a vote being taken, the following voted "aye": CHANGE FUND <br />Acting Mayor Black, Councilmen Ecklund and Labalestra, and the <br />following voted "nay": None. Motion carried. <br />
