2 ~ ~. <br />i~ <br />1 <br />Discussion waa held regarding probleans the Commission was having <br />regarding meeting dates. Councilman Labalestra suggested setting <br />one date, perhaps the 15th of each month, as the Heating date. Mr. <br />Plant said he would poll the Commission on this suggestion. <br />The proposed Businessmen's Rezoning P1.an for Larpenteur Avenue was <br />discussed. Councilman Steele stated he agreed that +~xisting businesses <br />should try to improve the parking situation and also that the area <br />be made more attractive and appealing, but that further expansion of <br />the business area should not be promoted at the present time. <br />Councilman Labalestra said that Dan Bucholtz, North Suburban Area <br />Chamber of Commerce Vice President, was working with the ~.isiness- <br />men's Association on plans for the area. <br />The Planning Commission was directed to work on plans for the <br />existing business area and also to communicate with the Business- <br />men's Association on this matter. <br />~e Planning Commission reviewed the preliminary plat for the <br />Pothen Homeaites Subdivision, Roselawn and Hemline Avenues, sub- <br />mitted by Nick Pothen, 1877 North Hemline Avenue. Th• Planning <br />Commission recommended approval of the plat at its meeting of <br />January 20, 1976, subject to the following requiramemta suggested <br />by the Ramsey Count, Plat Commission: <br />1. Approval of the Ramsey CountT Engineer for use of ~3 feet <br />dedicated strip instead of 33 feet as shown on the plan; <br />2. Approval of the Register of Deeds. <br />The additional ten (10) feet is an easement for water and gas <br />installation. <br />APPROVAL OF <br />P~_TMTNA~Y <br />PLAT: POTHFN'S <br />HOMESITES <br />Moved by Councilman Black, seconded by Councilman Ecklund to <br />accept the Planning Commission report as submitted recommending <br />approval of the preliminary plat for the Pothen's Homesites <br />Subdivision. Upon a vote being taken, the following voted naTe"; <br />Manor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele, and Labalestra, <br />and the following voted "nay": None. Motion carried. <br />Moved by Mayor Warkentien, seconded bT Councilman Labalestra <br />that secret~riaT -~e1p be provided the Planning Commission as <br />needed at a cost not to exceed $25.00 per month, with actual <br />pa~rment to be determined by the Clerk-Administrator. Upon a <br />vote being taken, the following voted "aTe": Manor Warkentien, <br />Councilmen Black, Ecklund, and Labalestra, and the following <br />voted "man": Councilman Steele. Motion carried. <br />SECRETARIAL <br />ASSISTANCE <br />FOR PLANNING <br />COMMISSION <br />Councilman Ecklund will be scheduling a meeting to organize the PARK DEPEZOP- <br />Park Development Committee as soon as possible. Councilman MENT COMMIT- <br />Ecklund also stated the !t-H Club will be planting a flower bed TEE <br />on the northside of the Community Park and will need funding <br />for the seed bed. Clerk Administrator Barnes noted there were <br />available funds in the Treasurer's Cash Fund to accomplish this. <br />
