<br />approve the general disbursements (with the exception of Check DISBI~.SEMENTS
<br />No. 91t01~, payable to Michael Clarkin) in the amount of $6,179.28.

<br />Barbara Whitmore, Student Services Coordinator, Northwestern NORTHWESTERN
<br />Suburban Youth Service Bureau; Sergeant Bi11 Barnes, Juvenile SUBtk~BAN
<br />Division, Ramsey County Sheriff's Department; and Mary Newbold, YOUTH SERVICE
<br />City of Shoreview Councilmember, explained the serri.ces to be BUREAU
<br />offered by the proposed Northwestern Suburban Youth Service
<br />Bureau. One of the goals of the project is to provide individual,
<br />group and family coupseling and parent education programs to
<br />youth and their families. The Bureau would serve Falcon Heights,
<br />among eight other neighboring communities. Ms. Whitmore asked
<br />for support of the concept by the City Council and also for support
<br />of the grant application being made to the Governor's Commission
<br />on Crime Prevention and Control.
<br />Bernie Wo1d, President, League of Women Voters of Falcon Heights,
<br />presented a letter to the Council on behalf of the League of Women
<br />Voters, dated February 10, 1976, in favor of the proposed project
<br />and also requesting Council support.
<br />Moved by Councilman Stsele,seconded by Councilman Labalestra
<br />that the Clerk Administrator prepare a letter for the Mayor's
<br />signature in support of a grant application for the Northwestern
<br />Suburban Youth Service Bureau to be presented to 'the Governor's
<br />Commission on Crime Prevention and Control. Upon a vote being
<br />taken, the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen
<br />Black, Eckluxid, Steel®, and Labalestra, and the following voted
<br />"nay" : None. Motion carried.
