1~ ~ 3 1 LJ Moved by Mayor Warkentien, seconded by Councilman Ecklund to HLCIIAI, grant approval for the Bicentennial Committee to conduct a PARADE parade in the City of Falcon Heights on May 26, 1976. Upon a REQiJFST vote being taken, the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele, and Labalestra, and the following voted "nay": None. Motion carried. Garf Mueller, University of Minnesota student, explained the RECREATIONAL revisions he has made in the survey prepared for use as a SURVEY: recreational survey. Mr. Mueller had first presented the GARY MUELLER survey to Council at the December 11, 1975, meeting. Moved by Councilman Steele, seconded h9 Councilman Labalestra to accept the survey prepared by Gary Mueller for recreational facilities and also to authorize distribution of the same, sub- 3ect to the addition of a sketch map showing the location of the Idaho-Snelling Park. Upon a vote being taken, the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Ecklund, Steele, and Labalestra, and the following voted "nay": Councilman Black. Motion carried. Janes C. Baumgaertner, 1697 Fry, read a petition submitted by PETITION: residents of the Falcon Ares Apartments requesting that the FALCON ARMS "No U Turn" sign at the intersection of Larpenteur and Fry APARTMENTS Street be removed and a mediae cut be made at the entrance to the apartment parking lot on Larpenteur Avenue. Mr. Baunigaertner explained th o problems tenants encounter entering and leaving the parking lot. Mo*ed by Councilman Ecklund, seconded by Councilman Steele that a request b® submitted to Ramsey County concerning the removal of the "No U Turn" sign at the intersection of Fry Street and Larpenteur Avenue and the addition of a median cut 280 feet west of the intersection. Upon a vote being taken, the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steel®, and Labalestra, and the following voted "nay": Non®. Motion carried . Councilman Steele noted that lilt trees were needed to replace TREE diseased and dawned trees in th® Northome Addition. The COMMITTEE Tree Committee has recommended that these trees be replaced REQUEST this Spring, with each street to have one specie of tree. Moved by Councilman Steele, seconded by Councilman Black to approve the appropriation of $1,100 (Account No. 1122-28) for the replacement of trees in the Northome Addition (East toy= West streets in the southeast quadrant) in the Spring of 1976, as recommended by the Tree Committee. Upon a vote being taken, the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Steele, Ecklund, and Labalestra, and the following voted "nay": None. Motion carried.
