1~ ~ 3 <br />1 <br />LJ <br />Moved by Mayor Warkentien, seconded by Councilman Ecklund to HLCIIAI, <br />grant approval for the Bicentennial Committee to conduct a PARADE <br />parade in the City of Falcon Heights on May 26, 1976. Upon a REQiJFST <br />vote being taken, the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, <br />Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele, and Labalestra, and the <br />following voted "nay": None. Motion carried. <br />Garf Mueller, University of Minnesota student, explained the RECREATIONAL <br />revisions he has made in the survey prepared for use as a SURVEY: <br />recreational survey. Mr. Mueller had first presented the GARY MUELLER <br />survey to Council at the December 11, 1975, meeting. <br />Moved by Councilman Steele, seconded h9 Councilman Labalestra <br />to accept the survey prepared by Gary Mueller for recreational <br />facilities and also to authorize distribution of the same, sub- <br />3ect to the addition of a sketch map showing the location of <br />the Idaho-Snelling Park. Upon a vote being taken, the following <br />voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Ecklund, Steele, and <br />Labalestra, and the following voted "nay": Councilman Black. <br />Motion carried. <br />Janes C. Baumgaertner, 1697 Fry, read a petition submitted by PETITION: <br />residents of the Falcon Ares Apartments requesting that the FALCON ARMS <br />"No U Turn" sign at the intersection of Larpenteur and Fry APARTMENTS <br />Street be removed and a mediae cut be made at the entrance to <br />the apartment parking lot on Larpenteur Avenue. Mr. Baunigaertner <br />explained th o problems tenants encounter entering and leaving <br />the parking lot. <br />Mo*ed by Councilman Ecklund, seconded by Councilman Steele that <br />a request b® submitted to Ramsey County concerning the removal <br />of the "No U Turn" sign at the intersection of Fry Street and <br />Larpenteur Avenue and the addition of a median cut 280 feet west <br />of the intersection. Upon a vote being taken, the following <br />voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steel®, <br />and Labalestra, and the following voted "nay": Non®. Motion <br />carried . <br />Councilman Steele noted that lilt trees were needed to replace TREE <br />diseased and dawned trees in th® Northome Addition. The COMMITTEE <br />Tree Committee has recommended that these trees be replaced REQUEST <br />this Spring, with each street to have one specie of tree. <br />Moved by Councilman Steele, seconded by Councilman Black to <br />approve the appropriation of $1,100 (Account No. 1122-28) for <br />the replacement of trees in the Northome Addition (East toy= <br />West streets in the southeast quadrant) in the Spring of 1976, <br />as recommended by the Tree Committee. Upon a vote being taken, <br />the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, <br />Steele, Ecklund, and Labalestra, and the following voted "nay": <br />None. Motion carried. <br />
