1~ <br />Glenn 0. Martin, 3263 Sandee~n Road, was pr®sent to request <br />permission to build a hone on Lot 200-50, located in the <br />"No Build" area between Fairview Avenue and Lindig Street. <br />The lot is at the southeast tip of the area. <br />The City Engineer, Brad Learberg, reconcnended that before a <br />building permit. were issued for a hone on this lot, grading <br />plans be submitted to the Council so that proper drainage from <br />the lot is maintained. <br />1 <br />J <br />Moved by Manor Warkentien, seconded by Councilman Labalestra <br />to grant approval of the request to build in the "No Build" <br />area located between Fairvieit+T Avenue and Lindig Street for <br />Glenn 0. Martin, 3263 Sandesri Road, subject to the City Engineer <br />and City Attorney drawing up a resolution defining safeguards <br />for the City and stating building standards and requireaaents <br />to be net for construction. Upon a vote being taken, the <br />following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, <br />Ecklund, Steele, and Labalestra, and the following voted "nay": <br />None. Motion carried. <br />Moved by Councilman Ecklund, seconded by Councilman Steele to <br />authorize the Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for <br />patching and sealcoating for 1976 of the Northwest quadrant <br />(north of Larpenteur Avenue and west of Snelling Avenue). Upon <br />a vote being taken, the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, <br />Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele, and Labalestra, and the follow- <br />ing voted "nay": None. Motion carried. <br /> <br />REQUEST TO <br />BUILD IN <br />"NO BUILD" <br />AREA <br />SEALCOATING <br />PLANS AND <br />SPECIFICATIONS <br />Discussion was held with regard to advertising circulars for ADVERTISING <br />the Municipal Liquor Store and the method by which they could CIRCULARS <br />be distr3.buted. The City Attorney was directed to investigate FOR LIQUOR <br />the regulations governing the advertising of prices and the STORE <br />methods of distribution. <br />Fire Reports, Nos. 12 - 17, were noted. <br />A letter from the City of Bloomington, dated February 6, 1976, <br />asking support for a Bloomington site for the proposed new <br />stadium and also that there be a referendum on arty issuing of <br />bonds for the stadium, was noted. <br />Moved by Councilman Steele, seconded by Councilman Labalestra <br />that the Clerk-Administrator draft a letter to Senator North, <br />Representative Dieterich, and Representative Hansen stating that <br />the Council of the City of Falcon Heights does not support the <br />funding of a stadium with the use of public funds, either for <br />the building itself or access thereto. Upon a vote being taken, <br />the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, <br />Ecklund, Steele, and Labalestra, and the following voted -t~yn; <br />None.
