~ 2~ <br />The Planning Commission has announced their meeting night change PLANNING <br />from the first Tuesday each month to the second Monday. The COMMISSION <br />next meeting is scheduled for March 8, 1976. MEETINGS <br />At the request of Councilman Steele, who was not present at the APPROVAL OF <br />time the Minutes of February 12, 1976, were approved the following MINUTES: <br />action was taken: FEBFi.UARY 12, <br />1976 <br />Councilman Ecklund withdrew his motion to approve the Minutes. <br />Councilman Labalestra withdrew his second to the motion. <br />Moved by Councilman Ecklund, seconded by Councilman Labalestra to <br />approve the Minutes of the regular meeting of February 12, 1976, <br />with the following addition: <br />Page la.: Council requested the Engineer to have the <br />plans and specifications prepared for the Arona-Crawford <br />improvements by the meeting of February 26, 1976. <br />Upon a vote being taken, the following voted "aye": Councilmen <br />Black, Ecklund, and Labalestra, and the following abstained: Mayor <br />Warkentien and Councilman Steele. Motion carried. <br />Council requested the C1erk~Administrator to draw up a procedure DISPOSITION <br />of policy to be followed as to the disposition of salvageable OF SALVAGE- <br />equipment by the City. The Clerk-Administrator was also directed ABLE EQUIP- <br />to update the Fire Departanent inventory and report on this item MENT <br />at the March 11, 1976, meeting. <br />Councilman Steele noted that the Recreational Surrey, prepared RECREATIONAL <br />by Gary Mueller, University of Minn®sota student, is in the pro- SURVEY <br />cess of distribution at this time and, also, that Mr. Mueller has <br />volunteered to continue his assistance in determination of <br />recreational facilities within the community. <br />Councilman Steele asked that current license fees be updated. LICENSE FEES <br />Councilman Steele mentioned that perhaps citizens should be re- STATE FAIR <br />minded of the "no parking in yards" during the State Fair. PARKING <br />Moved by Councilman Labalestra, seconded by Mayor Warkentien LIQUOR <br />that a letter be directed to legislators opposing legislation ADVERTISING <br />advocating liquor price advertising in the public media. Upon <br />a vote being taken, the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, <br />Councilmen Black, Steele, and Labalestra, and the following voted <br />"nay": Councilman Ecklund. Motion carried. <br />Moved by Councilman Steele, seconded by Councilman Ecklund to ADJOURNMENT <br />adjourn the meeting at 10:lt5 p.m. Upon a vote being taken, the <br />following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, <br />Ecklund, Steele, and Labalestra, and the ollowing voted "nay": <br />None.
