~Q <br />Minutes <br />May 27, 1976 <br />Page Two <br />Moved by Councilman Ecklund, seconded by Councilman Steele to <br />table the preceding motion allowing for discussion of the next <br />items, Garden Avenue Study Committee Report. Upon a vote being <br />taken, the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen <br />Ecklund and Labalestra, and the following voted "nay": Council- <br />men Steele and t3l.ack. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Labalestra reviewed the proposed questionnaire and GARDEN AVENUE <br />survey to conduct an origin and destination study on Garden STUDY REPORT <br />Avenue. He stated the exact hours and days were still to be <br />determined, but that a Saturday and Wednesday had been considered. <br />Moved by Councilman Labalestra, seconded by Councilman Steele that <br />approval be given for a citizens' group to conduct an origin and <br />destination survey along Garden Avenue on a voluntary basis between <br />Snelling and Hamline Avenues with the exact points to be ascertained <br />later. Upon a vote being taken, the following voted "aye": Mayor <br />Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele, and Labalestra, and <br />the following voted "nay": None. Motion carried. <br />Moved by Councilman Ecklund, seconded by Councilman Steele to AWARD OF BID <br />remove the motion deleting Part II (5ealc oat Garden Avenue) and FOR 1976 <br />Part III (Parking Lot) from the 1976 bid for street maintenance STREET MAIN- <br />and seal coating frosx the table. Upon a vote being taken, the TENANCE AND <br />following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, SEAL COATING <br />Ecklund, Steele, and Labalestra, and the following voted "nay": <br />None. Motion carried. <br />Upon a vote being taken on the motion to delete Part II and Part <br />III, as previously noted, the following voted "aye": Councilmen <br />Labalestra and Black, and the following voted "nay": Mayor <br />Warkentien, Counci oxen Ecklund, and Steele. Motion failed. <br />Councilman Steele introduc®d the following resolution and moved RESOLUTION <br />its adoption: N0. 76-20: <br />APPROVING <br />RESOLUTION N0. 76-20 CHANGE ORDER <br />DELETING PARK - <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE ORDER N0. 1 TO ING LOT IM- <br />ALLIED BLACKTOP COMPANY DELETING PART III FOR PROVEMENTS <br />THE Il~Il'ROVEMENT OF THE COMMUNITY PARK PARKING FROM STREET <br />LOT IN THE AMOUNT OF $l~,520.66 AS LISTED IN THE MAINTENANCE <br />BID FOR 1976 STREET MAINTENANCE AND SEAL COATING AND SEALCOATING <br />BID FOR 1976 <br />Councilman Labalestra seconded the foregoing resolution, and <br />upon a vote being taken, the following voted "aye": Councilmen <br />Black, Steele, and Labalestra, and the following voted against <br />the same: Mayor Warkentien and Councilman Ecklund. Motion <br />carried. <br />
