~Q Minutes May 27, 1976 Page Two Moved by Councilman Ecklund, seconded by Councilman Steele to table the preceding motion allowing for discussion of the next items, Garden Avenue Study Committee Report. Upon a vote being taken, the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Ecklund and Labalestra, and the following voted "nay": Council- men Steele and t3l.ack. Motion carried. Councilman Labalestra reviewed the proposed questionnaire and GARDEN AVENUE survey to conduct an origin and destination study on Garden STUDY REPORT Avenue. He stated the exact hours and days were still to be determined, but that a Saturday and Wednesday had been considered. Moved by Councilman Labalestra, seconded by Councilman Steele that approval be given for a citizens' group to conduct an origin and destination survey along Garden Avenue on a voluntary basis between Snelling and Hamline Avenues with the exact points to be ascertained later. Upon a vote being taken, the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele, and Labalestra, and the following voted "nay": None. Motion carried. Moved by Councilman Ecklund, seconded by Councilman Steele to AWARD OF BID remove the motion deleting Part II (5ealc oat Garden Avenue) and FOR 1976 Part III (Parking Lot) from the 1976 bid for street maintenance STREET MAIN- and seal coating frosx the table. Upon a vote being taken, the TENANCE AND following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, SEAL COATING Ecklund, Steele, and Labalestra, and the following voted "nay": None. Motion carried. Upon a vote being taken on the motion to delete Part II and Part III, as previously noted, the following voted "aye": Councilmen Labalestra and Black, and the following voted "nay": Mayor Warkentien, Counci oxen Ecklund, and Steele. Motion failed. Councilman Steele introduc®d the following resolution and moved RESOLUTION its adoption: N0. 76-20: APPROVING RESOLUTION N0. 76-20 CHANGE ORDER DELETING PARK - A RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE ORDER N0. 1 TO ING LOT IM- ALLIED BLACKTOP COMPANY DELETING PART III FOR PROVEMENTS THE Il~Il'ROVEMENT OF THE COMMUNITY PARK PARKING FROM STREET LOT IN THE AMOUNT OF $l~,520.66 AS LISTED IN THE MAINTENANCE BID FOR 1976 STREET MAINTENANCE AND SEAL COATING AND SEALCOATING BID FOR 1976 Councilman Labalestra seconded the foregoing resolution, and upon a vote being taken, the following voted "aye": Councilmen Black, Steele, and Labalestra, and the following voted against the same: Mayor Warkentien and Councilman Ecklund. Motion carried.
