$3 <br /> <br />Minutes <br />July 8, 1976 <br />Page Four <br />Fir® Chief Jerry Renchin and Assistant Fire Chief Joe <br />appeared before council to <br />t®er firemen John Holmgren <br />pension rights for the ye <br />request council to conside <br />and Bertrand Gimmestad ful <br />ar 1975. <br />Bianchi <br />r granting Vo1un- <br />1 credit for <br />It was explained to council that Holmgren had family problems and <br />Gimmestad had health problems and that both men had attempted to <br />make up the necessary drills. It was further mentioned that the <br />by Laws of the Relief Association did not show the thirty three (33) <br />drills which was the guide lines for the required yearly credit <br />which the department was using. Chief Renchin informed council <br />this has been adopted and stipulates the exceptions and is on file <br />with the Clerk Administrator. <br />Moved by Mayor Warkentien, seconded by Council man Labalestra that <br />Firemen John Holmgren and Bert Gimmestad be given a year'ts credit <br />for the Volunteer Firements Benefit Association pension rights. <br />Upon a vote being taken, the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, <br />Councilmen Black, Steele, and Labalestra, and the following abstained: <br />Councilman Ecklund, Motion carried. <br />F]~;t~N' 5 <br />PENSION <br />QUALIFICATION <br />Moved by Councilman Steele, seconded by Councilman Labalestra to RAMSEY COUNTY <br />authorize the Mayor and Clerk-Administrator to execute the contract SHERIFF'S <br />for po3ice services for the year, 1976, with the Ramsey County CONTt~ACT <br />Sheriff's Department at the approximate amount of $110,5'1.8.00. <br />Upon a vote being taken, the following voted "aye"; Mayor Warkentien, <br />Councilmen Black, Ecklund,; <br />Moved by Councilman Labalestra, seconded by Mayor Warkentien to WAGE .IrTCREASES: <br />grant salary increases of $20.00 per month to George Willkom, Liquor LIQUOR ST08E <br />Store Manager, ($1,300 per month), and John Sosniecki, Assistant PERSONNEL <br />Manager, ($792.00 p®r month), effective July 1, 1976. Upon a vote <br />being taken, the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen <br />Black, Steel®, and Labalestra, and the Following abstained: Councilman <br />Ecklund, Motion carried. <br />Moved by Mayor Warkentien, seconded by Councilman Black to continue MOTION TO <br />the meeting beyond 11:00 p.m. Upon a note being taken, the following CONTINUE <br />voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele, and MEETING <br />Labalaestra, and the following voted "nay": None, Motion carried. <br />Moved by Councilman Ecklund, seconded by rTayor Warkentien to correct AUTUMN STREET <br />the swale on the Westerly end of Autumn St. to minimize the drainage SWALE <br />roblem. The estimated cost of said improvement is approximately <br />1180.00. Upon a vote being taken, the following voted "aye": Mayor <br />Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele and Labalestra~ and the <br />following voted "nay": None. Motion carried. <br />Mayor Warkentien reported that Christopher C. Clausen was appointed N.W. S~URBAN <br />as Director of the Northwest Suburban Youth; Bureau. YOUTH BUREAU <br />
