Councilman Labalestra mentioned that he has contacted committee mem- bers three times relative to the Northeast area of the Cities traff- ic problems and no one has set up a meeting or tried to contact him to do a survey. Mr. Pratt assured Councilman Labalestra that they still intend to conduct the survey. Engineer Lemberg reported to Council on Hollywood Court street and alley surfaces break-up. He suggested to Council to make a deter- mination as to whether the area should be upgraded and if the pro- ject should be assessed. Council suggested that Engineer Lemberg have a preliminary cost analysis done for the next meeting. Engineer Lemberg reported to Council that the Metro Waste Control Commission was acquiring sewer lines that serve the State Fair grounds and University Farm Campus area. He mentioned it would increase our sewer costs a small amount but the City would get credits back. No further action was taken. Councilman Labalestra reviewed the last quarter Liquor financial report and related the gross margin is down somewhat. Clerk-Administrator Barnes reported he had met with the State Highway Department personnel to determine if they could fence in the ponding area at Snelling and Idaho. They are to report back to Mr. Barnes in the near future. Barnes also asked them to in- quire of Kermit McRae as to when the City would get the report on the entrance to the Cohen property and closing off of the entrance at Flower City and to the Standard Station, frontage streets. Barnes informed them that the Mayor and himself had met with Mr. McRae over a year ago on this matter.
