Soderberg, 1l~52 Idaho, to <br />erect a radio tower on his premises, until such time as Mr. <br />Soderberg can appear before Council. Council complied with the <br />request to defer the item. <br />~~ <br />CONDITIONAL USE <br />REQUEST <br />C . H. SELIERBERG <br />RADIO TOWER <br />DEFFERED <br />Mr. Floyd Thompson, a representative of Enviro Services, Inc. MASTER GAS <br />appeared before Council and inform Council that his firm had INSTALLERS LICENSE <br />settled with Mrs. Kutzik out of ,.court and a letter from Mrs. Kutzik #340 - ENVIRO <br />was presented, stating her satisfaction with the settlement. SERVICES, INC. <br />Moved by Mayor Warkentien, seconded by Councilman Steele to approve <br />the Master Gas Installers License #310 to Enviro Services, Inc., <br />5150 Hanson Court, Minneapolis, Minnesota. Upon a vote being taken, <br />the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Steele, <br />Black and Labalestra, and the following voted "nay": None. Motion <br />carried. <br />Anthony P. Gangi appeared before Council in regards to his applica-. <br />tion for a Conditional Use request to operate a dog obedience <br />school in the vacant building previously occupied by Applebaums. <br />Mr. Gangi explained they intend to have 15 to 20 one-hour classes <br />per day with each class consisting of 15 to 20 dogs and their <br />owners. <br />Mr. Gangi further stated he intends to keep several dogs, up to <br />10, of his own in the basement. He intends to house these dogs <br />during the day only, as they will be leased out during the night <br />as watchdogs. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Labalestra and seconded by Mayor <br />Warkentien to approve the Conditional Use Request on the basis of <br />the applicants' use of the building only as an obedience school <br />and not for the purpose of boarding any dogs. Upon a vote being <br />taken, the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien and Councilman <br />Labalestra, and the following voted "nay": Councilmen Steele and <br />Black. Motion failed. <br />Luther Stalland, attorney for Shakey's Pizza appeared before <br />Council to request that Council consider drafting an ordinance, <br />as provided in Minnesota Statutes, Section 340.11, enabling res- <br />taurants with a seating capacity of more than 25, which serve food, <br />to have a wine license. The fee for such license would be one half <br />of the existing on-sale intoxicating liquor license fee, or X2,000, <br />whichever is the lesser amount. <br />Moved by Councilman Steele, seconded by Councilman Black to in- <br />struct Attorney Kenefick to draft an ordinance permitting res- <br />taurants serving food, with a seating capacity of more than 25, to <br />apply for a wine license, in compliance with the State Statutes. <br />Upon a vote being taken, the following voted, "aye": Mayor <br />Warkentien, Councilmen Steele, Black and Labalestra, and the fo11- <br />owing voted "nays': None.
