Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aqe": R&3ISTRATION <br />Ma~ror Warkentien, Councilmen Ecklund and Labalestra and the following BOOTHS <br />voted "nay": Councilman Black. Motion carried. <br />A letter frcm Engineer Lemberg was read by Clerk-Administrator Barnes. MSA STREET <br />Engineer Lemberg stated in his letter that due to the grades of the PROJECT <br />stmt and the Haters of the 3.z:tersection of Crawford and Asbury it is $700 ADS <br />necessary to carry the surface water runoff on the north side oP Craw- <br />ford to the seat to Arrana to be picked up at the storm sewer. Because <br />the intersection of Asbury and Crawford is a "T" intersection, it is <br />necessary to cai'x'y a very shallow sxale across this area. <br />To avoid future drainage and maintenance problems, Engineer Lemberg <br />recommended that a ~~ wide concrete gutter be carried across this in- <br />tersection at the north gutter line of Crawford. This would provide <br />a permenant sKale that would not erode or develop "bird baths" or chuck <br />holes as would the exist3.ng bittmlinous swale. Price. of this addition <br />would be X700.00. <br />Moved by Councilman Ecklund, seconded by Councilman Black to approve <br />the Chax:ge Order in the amount of $700.00 to C. S. McCrossaa Company. <br />Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye"z Mayor Warkentien, <br />Councilmen Black, Ecklund and Labalestra, and the following voted "nay": <br />None. Motion carried. <br />The certificate of appreciation to Geraldine Jenkins was approved CIItTIFICATS OF <br />and signed by Mayor Warkentien. APPRECIATION <br />JERRY JENKINS <br />The check to the Minnesota League of Municipalities, held and MINNESOTA LEAGUE <br />deferred for discussion last meeting was discussed by Council. OF MUNICIPALITIE <br />Clerk-Administrator Barnes stated we get worthwhile information <br />from the League. Attorney Kenefick and Councilman Ecklund stated <br />ttd t the annual June meeting is very good and that the Legislative <br />Bulletin is a great reference <br />Moved by Councilman Black, seconded by Councilman Ecklund to con- <br />tinue the City's membership in the Minnesota League of Municipalities. <br />Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye": Councilmen Slack, <br />Ecklund and Labalestra and the following voted "nay": Mayor Warkentien. <br />Motion carried. <br />Clerk-Administrator Barnes informed Council that volunteer fireman ROQUEST 7.'0 PARK <br />H. F. Smeby had requested permission to park his ammonia tanker in the AMMONIA TRUCK <br />CitT lot, one night a week. Council instracted the Clerk-Administrator IN CITY LOT <br />to ~tify Mr. Saaeby that the request was denied. <br />Council noted the erection of the Hermes fence in the alley behind HERMES FENCE <br />Lido's Cafe. <br />i <br />
