Clerk-Administrator will cotrrey the City's FOR PARK <br />thanks to Mr. Labalestra and the Lido Cafe. ~UIpMENT <br />Mayor Warkentien mentioned that the Riwanis Club is still considering POSSIBLE RIWAN- <br />a $300.00 donation to the Park Development Committee. IS DONATION <br />Engineer Lemberg noted there had been many complaints on the sodding Sob MN STATE AID <br />on Arona ATenue and that it has now all been replaced. Seven trees were PROJECT - <br />put in on Arona and Garden Avenue. Engineer Lemberg stated that 3 "bird- GARDEN, AROMA <br />baths" had been detected and would be corrected. He also noted that .State Aid would pick <br />up more than originally anticipated and he would be submitting, for approv- <br />al, the final request for payment and at that time would set up the assess- <br />ments. <br />Councilman Labalestra stated that the Liquor Store inventory had been com- LIQUOR STORE <br />plated and that the tabulation was in progress. He also stated that the INVENTORY AND <br />present pricing procedure is inadequate and that we should go to a coded INVESTMENT OF <br />system. Councilman Labalestra also suggested that the surplus funds in LIQUOR FUNDS <br />the liquor account should be invested. Council suggested that C1erk- <br />Administrator Barnes and Councilman Labalestra get together and decide <br />how to invest the funds. <br />Clerk-Administrator Barnes informed Council that the Fire Department is FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />hazing their annual get-together on November 6, 1976, and would like ANNUAL GET-TO- <br />Council members and their wives to attend. Zhe Fire Department would GETHER 11/6/76 <br />like to know in advance how mater are planning to attend. <br />Clerk-Administrator Barnes told Council that Recreation Advisory PROPOSED SPRING <br />Committee member ParRl Rurpiewski has made a proposal for 6 softball SOFTBALL PRO- <br />teama. Council sanctioned the proposal. GRIM <br />Mayor Warkentien mentioned that magq people in Precinct #2 had discussed POSSIBLE RE- <br />the possibility of moving the polling place from City Hall. Council discussed the possibility of moving the polling POLLING PLACE <br />place to Como Park Lutheran Church. Attorney Kenefick Mated this could <br />be accomplished by passing a resolution. Council decided to wait until <br />after the election as moving the polling place at this late date would <br />moat likely cause a lot of confusion. <br />Mayor Warkentien mentioned he had received a note from Mrs. Thom in re- REII~URSEl~NT <br />garde to reimbursement to her for planting her own tree on the boulevard TO MRS. R~IOM <br />to replace the diseased elra tree removed by the City. Mra. Thom also FOR BOULEVARD <br />requested reimbursement for removing the stump of the removed elm tree TREE REPLACEMENT <br />and for dirt to fill the hole left by the stump. <br />Councilman Steele moved, and it was seconded by Mayor Warkentien to re- <br />imburse Mra. Thom $23.00 for the new tree she planted on her boulevard. <br />Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkenti$~, <br />CounciLaen Black, Ecklund, Steele and Labalestra and the following voted <br />"nay": None. Motion carried. <br />
