MINUTES REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING JANUARY l3, 1977 page 3 Clerk-Administrator Barnes suggested to Council that commercial sewer rates be increased to compare favorably with rates, based on water service sizes,charged by the Metro Waste Control Commission. C1erk- Administrator Barnes recommended that the minimum charge for 14' or less be raised from $10.00 to $15.00, 1~' - 2" be raised from $15.00 to $20.00, 3" or more be raised from $30.00 to $l~0.00 and a flat rate of 30¢ per 1,000 gallons thereafter. Moved by Councilman Labalestra and seconded by Councilman Steele to adopt Ordinance #155 as follows, with the above increases. ORDINANCE 155 3 ORDINANCE 155 SEWER INCREASES IN RATES FOR COMMERCIAL USERS AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. l~6, ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE REG- ULATING THE OPERATION OF THE MUNICIPAL SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM REQUIR- ING CONNECTIONS TO BE MADE TO THE MUNICIPAL SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM ESTABLISHING REGULATIONS AS TO TYPES AND KINDS OF WASTES THAT MAY BE DISPOSED OF BY THE USE OF THE MUNICIPAL SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM PRO- HIBITING THE DISCHARGE OF ANY TYPE OR KIND OF SURFACE WATERS INTO THE MUNICIPAL SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM AND PRESCRIBING RATES AND CHARGES FOR DISPOSAL SERVICES," AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCES #i~8, 58, 63, 82, AND 110. Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye": rSayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele and Labalestra and the following voted "nay": None. Motion carried. Councilman Steele moved adoption of Resolution 77-1, Designating North RESOLUTION 77-1 Star State Ba k as the Official Depository for General and Sinking Funds OF'F'ICIAL DE- for 1977. The motion was seconded by Councilman Labalestra and upon a POSITORY vote being taken the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen GEN. & SINKING Black, Ecklund, Steele and Labalestra and the following voted "nay": FUNDS None. Motion carried. Motion carried. Councilman Steele moved and it was seconded by Councilman Labalestra OFFICIAL NEWSPAPER to designate the St. Paul Dispatch as the City's Official Newspaper FOR 1977 for 1977. Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele and Labalestra and the following voted "nay": None. Motion carried.
