Upon a vote being taken the following DATES <br />voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele and <br />Labalestra and the following voted "nay": None. M;;tion carried. <br />Councilman Ecklund moved and it was seconded by Councilman Black to approve <br />Resolution 77-1a. as follows" RESOLUTION 77-1~ <br />!~-WAY STOP SIGN <br />RESOLUTION 77-1~ AT ROSELATrdN AND <br />CLEVELAND AVE. <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING RAMSEY COUNTY TG CGNDUCT A FEAS- <br />IBILITY STUDY FOR A FCUP~-WAY STOP SIGN AT THE INTERSEC- <br />TION OF ROSELA1rJN AND CLEVELAND AVENUES <br />Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, <br />Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele and Labalestra and the following voted <br />"nay": None. Motion carried. <br />The citizen's input meeting concerning the proposed improvements on DEFERRAL OF HOLLY <br />Hollywood Court Street and Alleys was deferred until February 28, 1977. WOOD CT. INPUT <br />MEETING <br />Chief Renchin appeared before Council to inform them that he and his men <br />were planning to burn down the University owned home at 1810 W. Larpenteur BURNING OF UNIV. <br />Avenue. Chief Renchin told Council the department would be taking pre- Oti~d'NED HOUSE AT <br />cautionary measures during the burning, such as diverting the power, and 1810 LARPENTEUR <br />blocking off the eastbound lane of Larpenteur Avenue from Tatum Street to BY FIRE DEPT. <br />Fry Street and requesting a permit from the PCA. <br />Mayor Warkentien moved and it was seconded by Councilman Steele to grant <br />permission to the Fire Department to burn the home at 180 W. Larpenteur <br />Avenue, for training purposes, providing the City receives the necessary <br />authorization frcm the University of Minnesota and the PCA. Upon a vote <br />being taken the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen <br />Black, Ecklund, Steele and Labalestra and the following voted "nay": <br />None. NIotion carried. <br />There was discussion about the appointment of a City Horticulturist as APPT. OF CITY <br />it was brought to light that there was another party expressing inter- HORTICULTURIST <br />est in the position. Council directed Clerk-Administrator Barnes to DEFERRED <br />invesitgate the qualifications and fees of each person interested in <br />the position of City Horticulturist. <br />Councilman Labalestra moved and it was seconded by Councilman Black <br />to approve the appointments, by Nlayor Warkentl.n, of Bernadine Wold, <br />Oksana Yonan, James Lammers, Michael Heffron and Charles Stone to the <br />Planning Commission. Upon a vote begin ~ keen the fo~1'~ing voted "aye": <br />Mayor h~arkentien, Councilmen Blac}~ I~a~~ Steele ar_d Labalestra and <br />the following voted "nay": None. NIotion carried. <br />Council reviewed the three chapters of the Codification of Ordinances <br />and suggested numerous revisions to the Clerk-Administrator. It was <br />decided that each Councilmember would take the codification chapters <br />home and mark each page with their suggested changes and then inform <br />Clerk-Administrator Barnes of their suggestions.
