Council instructed C1erk- <br />Administrator Barnes to send Mrs. Hermes another copy of the Ordinance <br />pertaining to pushing snow across streets. Clerk-Administrator 3arnes <br />was instructed to check the State Statutes regarding the matter so the <br />Ordinance can be uniformly enforced. <br />/~ <br />CODIFICATION (CONY) <br />RESIDENT AVAILABLE <br />TO SERVE ON COMM- <br />ITTEES <br />DISCUSSION ON SNOW <br />REMOVAL - HERMES <br />Councilman Ecklund noted that the street lights in the lot at Crawford STREET LIGHTS OUT <br />and W, Snelling Drive, in front of Embers and in front of Shakey's and <br />on Holton and Ruggles were still out. He advised Clerk-Administrator <br />.Barnes to call 221-1~La.1l for assistance from Ncrthern States Power. <br />Councilman Ecklund also noted that the Ramsey County League meeting will R.AMSEY COUNTY <br />be held here at City Hall on Wednesday, February 16, 1977, at 7:00 p.m. LEAGUE MEETING <br />Councilman Steele introduced the following Resolution and moved its <br />adoption. <br />RESOLUTION 77-~ <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE BOARD OF COr~SSI0NER5 OF <br />RAMSEY COUNTY TO INITIATE ACTION TO UPGRADE ROSELAti~T~T <br />AVENUE FROM HAMLINE AVENUE TrdESTERLY TO FULHAM STREET <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly sec- <br />onded by Councilman Labalestra and upon a vote being taken the f o11ow- <br />ing voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen i3l.ack, Ecklund, Steele <br />and Labalestra and the following voted "nay": None. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Labalestra informed Council that George Willkom, Liquor <br />Store Manager has returned home from the hospital. <br />RESOLUTION 77-s <br />UPGRALIE ROSELAWN <br />AVENUE <br />GEORGE WILLKOM <br />HOME FROM HOSPITAL <br />Councilman Labalestra also noted that he has been made aware that drug DRUG TRAFFIC IN <br />traffic in area schools is widespread, even in the elementary schools. AREA SCHOOLS <br />Councilman Labalestra expressed great concern about the problems and <br />said he would talk to School .Hoard member Maury Nicholson of District 623, <br />Clerk-Administrator .Barnes informed Council he was still getting prices TELEPHONE ANSirJERING <br />on various telephone answering devices and would have more information DEVICES <br />at the next meeting. <br />Mayor Warkentien noted he has received notices that both the Cities of OPPOSITION TO AB- <br />New Brighton and North St. Paul are opposed to the proposed abolishment OLISHA9ENT OF PRESENT <br />of the Ramsey County Municipal Court System as it is presently set up. RAMSEY COUNTY M[TN- <br />Councilman Ecklund stated that the Ramsey County League also opposes ICIPAL COURT SYSTEM <br />the abolishment of the Municipal Court System. <br />
