There is one hydrant located at the Selling service HYDRANTS FOR <br />drive. Engineer Lemberg stated there should be a hydrant at HOLLYWOOD COURT <br />the west end for fire safety and to flush ;#he line. Engineer <br />Lemberg stated he would really like to see two additional <br />hydrants to better service the area. <br />Councilmanz Steele moved and it was seconded by Councilman <br />Ecklund to authorize the purchase of two new fire hyrants <br />for Hollywood Court. 7.he hydrants will be paid for out of <br />the Sanitary Sewer Fund and will be installed, along with <br />the scheduled street improveanent, at the west end. and the <br />middle of the street on the north side. Upon a vote being <br />taken the Polloxing voted "aye"s Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen <br />Black, Ecklund, Steele and Labalestra and the following voted <br />"nay" : None. 1'~tion carried. <br />Councilman Steele noted that Como Park Lutheran Church trustees POSSIBLE USE OF <br />and council will vote next week on whether the City can use CHURCH AS POLLING <br />the premises as the polling place for precenct #2. Councilman Labalestra stated !t0 HOUR WEEK- <br />things have settled down and that the employees have a better <br />attitude. <br />Clerk-Administrator Barnes read Senate File 1306, which has REPORT ON SENATE <br />been referred to the Committee on Commerce. It is a bill on FILE 1306 <br />liquor minimum retail proces for off-sale and groviding pen- <br />alties. <br />Clerk-Administrator Barnes also reported that he attended the <br />Ramsey County Historical Society meeting last. night at the <br />Gibbs Farm. The Society has requested $60,000 from Ramsey <br />County for improvemaents to the Farm. <br />Councilman Steele suggested the City look into the possibility <br />of charging Ramsey County for policing and fire protection of <br />the Gibbs farm area as the City provides these services but <br />has no jurisdiction over the area. <br />Clerk-Achninistrator Barnes informed Council that Maintenance <br />Engineer William Garlick was at hcaee not expected to be albs <br />to return to work for ttiree to four months until recuperated <br />from his motorcycle accident. <br />REPORT ON RAMSEY <br />COUNTY HISTORICAL <br />SOCIETY MTG.
