MINUTES <br />REGUt~AR COUNCIL MEETING <br />MAY 12, 1977 ~ C~ <br />Pie 5 <br />Mayor Warkentien moved and it was seconded by Councilman La- MEETING TIME <br />balestra to extend the meeting time to 11:30 p.m. Upon a vote EXTENDED UNTIL, <br />being taken the following voted "aye"; Mayor Warkentien, 11:30 P.M. <br />Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele and Labalestra and the fol- <br />lowing voted "nay": None. Motion carried. <br />Mayor Warkentien moved and it was seconded by Councilman Steele RES. 77-16 TO <br />to petition the PCA to lift the burning ban for two weeks in PCA TO REMOVE <br />the spring and two weeks in 'the fall. Upon a vote being taken BURNING BAN IN <br />the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, SPRING AND FALL <br />Ecklund, Steele and Labalestra and the following voted "nay": <br />None. Motion carried. <br /> Councilman Steele mentioned the next Tree Committee would be DATE OF NEXT <br /> held on June 8, 1977 and the committee is hoping to get Peter TREE COMM. MTG <br /> <br />Grills to speak. . <br /> Councilman Labalestra moved and it was seconded by Mayor War- TRANSFER OF <br /> kentien to appropriate $15,000 from the Liquor Fund to repay $15,000 FROM <br /> the sewer fund loan, leaving a balance due of $6b,500. Upon LIQUOR FUND TO <br /> a vote being taken the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, REPAY SEWER LOAN <br /> Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele and Labalestra and the fol- <br /> lowing voted "nay"s None. Motion carried. <br /> Attorney Kenefick noted he had received, for approval, a rough <br />draft of a set of b <br />-laws whi <br />h th <br />l BYLAWS FOR <br /> y <br />c <br />e P <br />anning Commission pro- PLANNING COMM. <br /> posed to adopt. He stated the commission can adopt arty set of AppROV~ gY <br /> by-laws they want as it is an internal matter and doesn't re- ATTORNEY <br /> quire Council approval. <br /> Attorney Kenefick also stated he has received notice from the QCONT.) WASTE <br /> Metro Waste Control Commission that they would like an ordin- CONTROL COMM. RE- <br /> ance and a point powers agreement between them and Falcon Heights QUEST FOR JOINT <br /> inorder to charge Mando Photo Company for execessive pollutant POWERS AGREEMENT <br /> discharges. Attorney Kenefick said he would like to discuss <br /> the matter in depth at the next meeting. <br /> Councilman Steele noted that the Falcon Heights Baha'i community BIHA'I COMMUNITY <br /> had dedicated a maple tree to be planted in the Falcon Heights DEDICATES TREE <br /> Woods Park on Saturday, May 1.!}, 1977. Mrs. Maxine Harkness is <br /> in charge of the planting. <br /> Councilman Ecklund suggested that at the next regular Council REQUEST FOR SPEC <br /> meeting that Councilmeanbers set a time for a special meeting MEETIPiG TO GO OVER <br /> to work on the codification of the ordinances.
