Councilman Black also noted FENCE FOR <br />that the fence installation was acceptable to the N.I. HERMES <br />residents on the west. <br />Councilman Black moved and it was seconded by Council- <br />man Steele to approve the Variance to install a five <br />foot cyclone fence which is less than 750 opaque. <br />Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye": <br />Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele <br />and Labalestra. The following voted "nay": None. <br />Motion carried. <br />Mayor Warkentien noted that on Friday, May 20, 1977 APPROVAL OF <br />he had signed the Malt Liquor License #216 for MALT LIQUOR <br />Richard Ball, representing the University of Minn. LICENSE #216 <br />student entertainment organization as an emergency U of M STUDENT <br />ENTERTAINMENT <br />had arisen and the group found it necessary to move <br />there scheduled affair to the Merchandise Mart on the <br />Fairgrounds.. The Fair also approved the use. Mayor <br />Warkentien moved and it was seconded by Councilman <br />Ecklund to approve the license. Upon a vote being <br />taken the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, <br />Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele and Labalestra. <br />The following voted "nay": None. Motion carried. <br />Attorney Kenefick read over proposed Ordinance #156 APPROVAL OF <br />which sets a new schedule of fees for licenses and ORDINANCE #156 <br />permits. The purpose of the ordinance is to allow ESTABLISHING <br />the City to change each year by resolution, the LICENSE AND <br />fee amount. PERMIT FEES <br />Councilman Ecklund moved and it was seconded by <br />Councilman Steele to approve Ordinance #156. de- <br />leting the words "Applied for" in line two of <br />Section 4, and to direct Clerk Administrator Barnes <br />to publish the Ordinance in the official newspaper. <br />Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye": <br />Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele <br />and Labalestra. The following voted "nay": None. <br />Motion carried. <br />Attorney Kenefick read Chapter two of the Ordinances CODIFICATION <br />with his revisions and submitted copies to Council- OF ORDINANCES <br />members for their review. He stated he will have CHAPTER II <br />one or two more chapters ready for the next meeting. ATTORNEY <br />KENEFICK <br />
