MINUTES <br />REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br />MAY 26, 1977 <br />page. 5 <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes reported to the Council <br />the letter he received from Ramsey County Engineer <br />informing the City that the storm sewer lift station <br />on Larpenteur east of Hamline was in need of repair <br />and to inform us there was a cost sharing between <br />the City of Falcon Heights, Roseville and Ramsey <br />County. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes reported to the Council <br />he has employed Mary Rukavina, 1659 Mapleknoll, as <br />park attendent for the Falcon Heights Community Ctr. <br />during the hours of 6 - 10 pm, seven days a week at <br />$2.75 per hour. Council Labalestra moved and Mayor <br />Warkentien seconded. Upon a vote taken the following <br />voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, <br />Ecklund and Labalestra. .The following voted "nay": <br />None Absent - Steele. Motion carried. <br />Mayor. Warkentien appointed Councilmen Labalestra <br />and Ecklund to assist Clerk Administrator Barnes in <br />the interviewing of prospective girls for the secre- <br />tarial position. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes advised Council he had <br />the phamplets on "40 Ways to Protect Your Homer', <br />which had been purchased by Lidos, in addition to <br />a stamp showing "Distributed by Human Rights <br />Commission, City of Falcon Heights". <br />Council requested that Clerk Administrator Barnes <br />write a letter of thanks to Lido's Cafe for the <br />phamplets. Councilman Black moved and was seconded <br />by Councilman Ecklund. Upon a vote being taken the <br />following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Council- <br />men Black, Ecklund and Labalestra. The following <br />voted "nay": None Absent: Steele. Motion carried. <br />Mayor Warkentien moved and was seconded by Council- <br />man Ecklund, to authorize Clerk Administrator Barnes <br />to request a hearing on the application request of <br />Milton Cohen requesting a reduction on the assessed <br />valuation of certain properties located at Larpenteur <br />and Snelling. Upon a vote being taken the following <br />voted "aye" Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, <br />Ecklund and Labalestra. The following voted "nay" <br />None.
