MINUTES <br />REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br />JUNE 9, 1977 <br />page 3 <br />Acting Mayor Black moved, seconded by Councilman <br />Ecklund to approve preliminary system statement <br />as submitted by the Metro Council. Acting Mayor <br />Black suggested to have Clerk Administrator Barnes <br />write a letter to Terry Mills, Metropolitan Council <br />stating Council approval of transportation, bus- <br />ridership forecast. Council is in question of <br />the map on page 11, indicating the functional <br />classification on Snelling Avenue as it is not clear. <br />Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye": <br />Acting Mayor Black, Councilmen Ecklund, Steele, and <br />Labalestra. The following voted "nay": None. <br />Absent: Mayor Warkentien. Motion carried. <br />Mayor Warkentien arrived at the meeting at 8:55 p.m.. <br />There was a discussion about the Public Safety <br />Emergency Communications, joint powers agreement. <br />It was suggested that Clerk Administrator Barnes <br />acquire a final Draft from :the .Roseville City <br />Manager and present the Draft to Council at the <br />July 28th Meeting. <br /> <br />METRO SYSTEMS <br />STATEMENT <br />MAYOR ARRIVES <br />PUBLIC SAFETY <br />EMERGENCY <br />COMM. <br />Councilman Labalestra presented the March and MUNICIPAL <br />April Municipal Liquor Income and Expense reports, LIQUOR INCOME <br />submitted by Yellon and Assoc., and it was noted. AND EXPENSE <br />Councilman Steele advised council of the donation <br />of 500' of cyclone fence and posts by Pete McGough, <br />for the Falcon Woods hocky rink and Idaho-Snelling <br />park. Material and labor for installation for the <br />posts will be donated by Westlund Construction Co. <br />Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by .Councilman <br />Steele to have Clerk Administrator Barnes write a <br />personal letter to Pete McGough and Westlund <br />Construction Co., thanking them for the donations. <br />Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye": <br />Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele, <br />and Labalestra. The following voted "nay": None. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />There was a discussion held on tree removal and Vapam <br />treatment. Councilman Steele moved, seconded by <br />Councilman Black to approve procedures for Vapaming <br />according to the Horticulturist Dr. French. Upon <br />a vote being taken the following voted "aye" Council- <br />men Black, Ecklund, Steele and Labalestra. The <br />following "nay" Mayor Warkentien.
