<br />1 <br />MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />AUGUST 25, 1977 <br />Page 5 <br />8~ <br />Engineer Lemberg suggested to council the sign "DO NOT SIGN-HERMES <br />ENTER" by Hermes Car Wash be removed as the car wash is CAR WASH <br />no longer is operation. Council concurred and requested <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes to inform N. L. Hermes. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes reported to council he had <br />attended the Ramsey County Historical Society meeting <br />on August 10, 1977. Clerk Administrator Barnes noted <br />to council their admittance charge to the Gibbs Farm. <br />Mr. Barnes also reported they are getting ready to <br />put in a parking lot at the north end of the property <br />and relocate the entrance farther north. The National <br />Guard is going to do the work and the County Engineer <br />will do the inspecting. <br />Mr. Pete McGough appeared before Council prior to the <br />close of the meeting after being nominated to the <br />council seat vacated by Norman Ecklund. Mr. McGough <br />pledged his full support for the City of Falcon Heights <br />and the Council. Mayor Warkentien welcomed Mr. McGough <br />on behalf of the council and himself. Mr. McGough also <br />noted to council that he, as a private citizen, was very <br />unhappy with the Snelling-Idaho Fence Project,as he had <br />donated the material and the work to put up the fence <br />was also to be donated, not contracted out. <br />RAMSEY COUNTY <br />HISTORICAL <br />SOCIETY <br />MEETING <br />PETE MCGOUGH <br />NEW COUNCIL- <br />MAN <br />Councilman Steele moved, seconded by Councilman Black ADJOURNMENT <br />to adjourn the meeting at 10:59 p.m. Upon a vote being <br />taken, the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, <br />Councilmen Black, Steele and Labalestra.
