MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />DECEMBER 8, 1977 <br />Page 2 <br />Councilman Black read a letter from Mayor Loren L. <br />Law, Richfield, regarding the Minnesota Mayors Assoc. <br />meeting that was held in Bloomington. At the meeting <br />certificates of appreciation were presented to several <br />Mayors with long and outstanding services to their <br />communities. Mayor Warkentien was unable to attend <br />the meeting due to a pr~i.~or engagement, so the certifi- <br />cate was mailed, to be presented at a regular city <br />council meeting. <br />Mayor Warkentien present pictures taken by Bonestroo, <br />Rosene, Anderlik and Assoc., Inc. of the Falcon Heights <br />Community Park and it was suggested they be framed and <br />placed in the council chambers. <br />Councilman Black moved, seconded by Councilman McGough <br />to approve the minutes of November 22, 1977 as amended <br />and corrected. Upon a vote being taken, the following <br />voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, <br />McGough, Steele and Labalestra. The following voted <br />"nay": None. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Steele moved, seconded by Councilman <br />Labalestra to approve the final payment to C.S. <br />McCrossan - Resolution 77-30 in the amount of: <br />$6,668.44: <br />RESOLUTION 77-30 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FINAL <br />PAYMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $6,668.44 <br />TO C.S. McCROSSAN, INC. FOR THE <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT IDAHO CURB AND <br />GUTTER AND HOLLYWOOD COURT ALLEY <br />AND STREET <br />Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye": <br />Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, McGough, Steele <br />and Labalestra. The following voted "nay": None. <br />Motion carried. <br />Mayor Warkentien presented a letter from the Ramsey <br />County Engineer regarding parking on Larpenteur <br />between Cleveland and Fry, both sides. Cars are being <br />parked for long periods of time and causing a traffic <br />hazard and decreasing the capacity of the roadway. <br />Councilman Labalestra moved, seconded by Councilman <br />Black to direct Clerk Administrator Barnes to prepare <br />a resolution to prohibit parking from Cleveland to <br />Fry Streets, north and south sides of ~arpenteur for <br />the entire year and forward to the Ramsey County <br />Commissioner for consideration. Upon a vote being <br />taken the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, <br />Councilmen Black, McGough, Steele and Labalestra. The <br />following voted "nay": None.
