<br />1 <br />MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />DECEMBER 22, 1977 <br />Page 5 <br />1~3 <br />Councilman Labalestra reviewed the profit and loss NOVEMBER 1977 <br />statement for the Liquor Store, prepared by Yellan LIQUOR STORE <br />and Assoc. for the month. of November showing a profit FINANCIAL <br />of $2,368.32 for the month and a profit for the year STATEMENT <br />to date $18,455.30. <br />Councilman Labalestra asked whether Councilman McGough <br />could monitor police calls which might be attributed <br />to Job Corps Councilman McGough concurred with the <br />request. <br />Mayor Warkentien discussed with council the letter <br />he received from Mr. Vern Peterson, regarding the <br />membership in the Assoc. of Metropolitan Municipalities. <br />Mr. Peterson suggested the city join prior to Feb. 1, <br />1978 this would give the City of Falcon Heights a <br />full year of membership for $348, rather than the $695 <br />yearly dues. This would give the City of Falcon Heights <br />a chance to evaluate the benefits offered. <br />Mayor Warkentien moved to join the Association of <br />Metropolitan Municipalities on a trial basis for one <br />year, Councilman Black seconded. Upon a vote being <br />taken, the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, <br />Councilman Black, McGough and Labalestra. The following <br />voted "nay": Councilman Steele. Motion carried. <br />JOB CORPS <br />POLICING <br />METROPOLITAN <br />LEAGUE OF <br />MUNICIPALITIES <br />Mayor Warkentien presented to council the bill received KELLER CORP. <br />from the Keller Corp. for the Fidelity-Surety Bond for BOND <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes for the coming year at a <br />cost of $50.00 for the $10,000 bond. <br />Mayor Warkentien moved for payment, seconded by Council- <br />man Labalestra. Upon a vote being taken the following <br />voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, McGough, <br />Steele and Labalestra.. <br />Councilman McGough moved, seconded by Councilman Steele <br />to adjourn the meeting at 9:20 p. m. Upon a vote being <br />taken the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, <br />Councilmen Black, McGough, Steele and Labalestra and <br />the following voted "nay": None.
