Mr. Quast introduced Miss Pat Rizzi and her work creden- tials, and suggested that the Council employ Miss Rizzi as S~mimer Recreation Director, at a salary of $1200 fora 1g week period including prior program planning. Motion by Mayor Warkentien that the Village allocate $1at00 as requested by the Recreation Advisory Committee, and to authorize the Clerk-Administrator to take the money from the permanent improvement fund. A discussion was held and the motion died for lack of a second. Motion by Mayor Warkentien, seconded by Councilman Black, to allocate $1i1~00 for the 1972 recreation program and adopt the summer program as proposed by the Recreation Advisory Committee with the exception of Item 8. A discussion was held, and Councilman Stone moved to amend the motion to eliminate one playground leader and appropriate supplies, in order to stay within the approved budget, as the Idaho- Snelling playground cannot be used this summer, which would be a savings of $878. Councilman Ecklund seconded the amendment. Roll call on the amendment was, AYES: Council- men Ecklund, Stone. NAYS: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Taylor. Amendment failed. Resident Chairman John Quast reported to the Council that several Ob3ections to residents attended the recreation advisory meeting on April Garden Park Site: 25, 1972, and ob3ected to the Garden Maple Knoll proposed park site. A discussion was held at the Council meeting in respect to the objections.
