J <br />and the possible misunderstanding the Council might have <br />in respect to the validity of their quote. <br />Mr. Gottstein asked the question, what are you going to <br />get for your money and what type of work should be performed. <br />He stated that there are two ways to clean sewers. A jet <br />machine will not clean sewers in respect to rooted areas. <br />He also stated that a bucket machine must be used to clean <br />roots and such from the sewer line. Mr. Gottstein reminded <br />the Council that a color coded map was presented at the <br />time of the original survey and they should review it to <br />see the results of American Pipe Service performance, also <br />locations of work areas to be televised are in the original <br />survey. <br />Mr. Gottstein informed the Council that cutters and full <br />gauge instruments are needed on at least 63~ of the clean- <br />ing and the balance could be done by jetting. <br />Councilman Black moved, seconded by Councilman Stone, that <br />the sewer cleaning program be tabled. AYES: Councilmen <br />Black, Ecklund, Stone, Taylor. AYES: Mayor Trdarkentien, <br />Store Site: Councilmen Black and Stone. NAYS: Councilmen Ecklund and <br /> Taylor, Motion carried. <br />Solicitors Permit Motion by Mayor Warkentien, seconded by Councilman Black, <br />Granted: to grant permission to Ted Hooter of Jobs for Kids of <br /> Minnesota, Inc., I~012 South lt2nd Street, Minneapolis, <br /> Minnesota, to sell candles house to house on Saturday, May <br /> 13, 1972, the money to be usedfor camp for underprivileged <br /> children. AYES: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Taylor. <br /> NAYS: Councilmen Ecklund, Stone.
