~1 <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br />FALCON HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA <br />AUGUST 10, 1972 <br />A regular meeting of the Falcon Heights Council was called to order by Mayor <br />Warkentien at 8:00 P.NI. <br />PRESENT: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Stone, and Councilwoman Stocker. <br />Also present were Clerk-Administrator Barnes, Engineer Lemberg and <br />Attorney Seed. Councilman Ecklund arrived at 8:30 P.M. <br />ABSENT : None <br /> Minutes: Motion by Councilman Stone, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, <br /> to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of July 27, <br /> 1972, as corrected. Motion carried. <br /> Cigarette License Motion by Councilman Stone, seconded by Councilwoman Stocker, <br /> Renewals: to approve the following cigarette licenses for the period <br /> July 1, 1972 and ending June 30, 1973: <br /> Applebaum's Food Market, 1558 West Larpenteur Avenue <br /> Falcon Heights Pharmacy, 1707 North Snelling Avenue <br /> Motion carried. <br /> "Off Sale" License Motion by Councilwoman Stocker, seconded by Councilman <br /> Renewal: Stone, to approve the non-intoxicating malt liquor "Off Sale" <br /> license for Applebaurl's Food Market, 1558 West Larpenteur <br /> Avenue, for the period July 1, 1972, and ending June 30, <br /> 1973. Motion carried. <br /> Pizza Hut Request A letter requesting "Off Sale" Beer License to permit deliv- <br /> to Deliver Beer: ery of beer with pizza was received from Pizza Huts of <br /> Northwest, Inc., dated August 3, 1972. <br />Attorney Seed advised that it is within the discretion of <br />the Village Council to permit delivery of•beer if company <br />has beer license. The possibility of controlling the sale <br />and delivery exclusively to legal age customers will be <br />difficult. He also advised that the Ordinance does not <br />require the person delivering to be over twenty-one years <br />of age. <br />Motion by Councilman Stone, seconded by Councilwoman Stocker, <br />that the Clerk-Administrator be directed to ask a repre- <br />sentative of Pizza Huts Inc., to be present at the regular <br />meeting of August 21.x, 1972, to discuss company plans of <br />controlling and delivery of beer to legal age customers. <br />Motion carried. <br />Refuse Hauler Motion by r7ayor Warkentien, seconded by Councilwoman Stocker, <br />License Renewal: to approve the general corporate license to operate a refuse <br />hauling business for Richard A. Wybierala DBA/ Poor Richard's <br />Inc., 1.100 Whitall Avenue, St. Paul, P~Ii.nnesota. Motion <br />carried. <br />
