RESOLUTION 73-9 <br />RESOLUTION OPPOSING PASSAGE OF BILL WHICH WOULD ALLOW <br />TfiE RAMSEY COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS TO APPOINT <br />THE RAMSEY COUNTY SfiERIFF AS PER SENATE FILE 1l~97 <br />Councilwoman Stocker seconded the foregoing Resolution. <br />Motion carried. <br />Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilman Stone, LIGHT FOR LIQUOR STORE <br />that Engineer Lemberg be authorized to procure an <br />additional light to be placed on the north side of th e <br />liquor store. Motion carried. <br />Mayor Warkentien introduced the following Resolution and <br />moved its adoption: WINE LICENSES FOR <br />GENERAL FOOD STORES <br />RESOLUTION 73 10 <br />RESOLUTION OPPOSING PASSAGE OF BILL WHICH WOULD AUTHORIZE <br />MUNICIPALITIES TO ISSUE SPECIAL OFF-SALE WINE LICENSES TO <br />GENERAL FOOD STORES AS PER SENATE FILE 1It81 <br />Councilwoman Stocker seconded the foregoing Resolution. <br />Motion carried. <br />Councilman Ecklund introduced the following Resolution AGE OF NfAJORITY <br />and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION 73-11 <br />RESOLUTION OPPOSING THE LOWERING OF THE AGE OF MAJORITY <br />PERTAINING TO THE PURCASE OF LIQUOR BY 18 YEAR OLDS, <br />REQUESTING THAT THE AGE OF MAJORITY FOR PURCHASING <br />LIQUOR REMAIN AT 21 YERAS OLD AS PER HOUSE FILE 221 <br />Mayor Warkentien seconded the foregoing Resolution. <br />Motion carried. <br />Engineer Lemberg reported that he was working on the TRAFFIC COUNT <br />Village traffic count required by the State Highway <br />Department once every five years over a 12 month span, <br />relative to Municipal State Aid. <br />Engineer Lemberg was requested to make a survey of the DIPS IN STREETS <br />Village streets and count the number of swales in them, <br />and present the Council with his report. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes and Engineer Lemberg were HIRING OF A MAINTEPIANCE <br />authorized to look into the hiring of a new maintenance MAN <br />man. <br />A Resolution from the St. Paul City Council regarding the RESOLUTION ON THE ROUTING <br />routing of helicopters over the St. Paul area was dis- OF HELICOPTERS <br />cussed and deferred. <br />Councilman Stone moved, seconded by Councilman Ecklund, GENERAL PAYROLL <br />to approve the general payroll in the amount of ~2,70~..81• <br />Motion carried. <br />
