1 <br />1 <br />LJ <br />Councilman Ecklund seconded the foregoing Resolution, and <br />upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor thereof: Mayor Warkentien, Co~zncilmen Black, Ecklund, <br />and Councilwoman Stocker, and the following voted against <br />the same: None. Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly <br />passed and adopted. <br /> <br />Councilman Ecklund moved, seconded by Councilman Black, to VOLTm1TEER FIREMAN <br />approve the application submitted by Bertel Gimmestad, APPLICATION <br />19l~5 AT. Prior Avenue, Roseville, Nlinnesota, for Volunteer <br />Fireman, subect to a physical and six months probation. <br />Motion carried. <br />Manor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilwoman Stocker, <br />to approve the req~.zest to allow Fire Chief Al Helbig, <br />and Voliznt eer Firemen Robert Berg and Pat Coughlin, to <br />attend fire school May 5, 9, 10, x.11. Motion carried. <br />A letter from Representative Hansen regarding the bill <br />for the Fire Relief Association of Falcon Heights was <br />read, explaining that he had introd~zced the bill con- <br />cerning the By-Laws for the Falcon Heights Fire Depart- <br />ment, and sent the Senate File to Senator North. <br />Councilman Ecklund moved, seconded by Councilman Black, <br />that the Village employ Stennes and Associates to pre- <br />pare an actuarial survey for the Falcon Heights Volunteer <br />Fire Department, based on six months accrual of pension <br />after ~Tanuary 1, 1971. Motion carried. <br />A letter from Henry J. Dachtera, Assistant Chief of the <br />Falcon Heights Fire Department, informing the Council <br />of the elected operational officers for the year, was <br />noted. <br />Fire reports rnambers 15, 16, ~ 17, were noted. <br />Mrs. Harold <T. Kurtz, 1505 Fairview Avenue, was present <br />at the meeting to inquire about the status of the Fairview <br />Avenue speed limit. Clerk-Administrator Barnes explained <br />that it is in the traffic division of the Ramsey County <br />Engineers, and that he will inform her of any further <br />developments. <br />REQTIEST TO ATTEND <br />FIRE SCHOOL <br />FIRE RELIEF ASSOCIATION <br />ACTUARIAL SURVEY <br />FIRE DEPARTMEPIT OFFICERS <br />FIRE REPORTS <br />FAIRVIEW AVEtJTJE <br />SPEED LIMIT <br />Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilman Black, that MINNESOTA LEAGUE OF <br />Clerk-Administrator Baines be authorized to attend the M?mTICIPALITIES <br />annual convention of the Minnesota League of Municipalities, CONVENTION <br />and any other interested Councilmember who is able to <br />attend, their fees to be reimbursed by the Village. <br />Councilwoman Stocker reported on the businessmen's meeting BtISINESSMENF5 <br />of May 7, 1973• She stated that they have picked a board ASSOCIATION <br />of directors, they have set membership dues at $10.00, and <br />that the next meeting is scheduled for June 7, 1973, at the <br />Fairgrounds Administration office. <br />
