1 <br />1 <br />CLUDING NECESSARY POLES, POLE LIIJES, Ar_dD FIXTURES <br />AND APPURTET4APICES: FOR THE FURTJISHIAIG OF ELECTRIC <br />ENERGY TO THE VILLAGE ADTD ITS ITJFiABITAD]TS, AT1D <br />OTHERS, AND TO USE THE STREETS, ALLEYS, PUBLIC WAYS <br />AND PUBLIC GROITI'DS OF SAID VILLAGE FOR SUCH PURPOSES: <br />PRESCRIBING CERTAITI TERMS A'`1D COPIDITIOTIS THEREOF, <br />AT1D PRESCRIBING THE RATES TO BE CHARGED THEREFOR <br />Councilwoman Stocker moved, seconded by Councilman Black, <br />to adopt the foregoing Ordinance, and upon a vote being <br />taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />I~7ayor Warkentien, Councilman Black and Councilwoman <br />Stocker. Councilman Ecklund abstained and Councilman <br />Stone was absent. Whereupon the Ordinance was adopted. <br />Fees for publication of said Ordinance are to be paid <br />by the Northern States Power Company. <br />~-. 4 F <br />METRO RATE AUTHORITY <br />Roger Wadnal and Mike Gair, students of the University COT^.TMUNITY PARK PLANS <br />of Minnesota, who were working on the Falcon Heights <br />Community Park plan were present and presented their <br />completed plans for the park to the Council. Appreciation <br />was expressed by the Council. <br />A joint agreement between the Village of Falcon Heights <br />and the Village of Lauderdale for law enforcement and <br />fire departmental services was discussed. Councilman <br />Ecklund stated that the Village should look further <br />into the matter. Mayor Warkentien stated that he <br />would contact the Piayor of Lauderdale to see if this <br />agreement could b e discussed at the next Lauderdale <br />Village Council meeting, and asked that any interested <br />councilmember attend the meeting. <br />Councilman Ecklund moved, seconded by Councilwoman <br />Stocker, to authorize Clerk-Administrator Barnes to <br />offer Mr. Vincent Wright, 1207 W. Ryan, Roseville, <br />who has submitted an application for maintenance <br />man to the Village, $750.00 a month to start, with <br />the condition that he receives $75.00 per month <br />additional if he serves his probationary period of <br />six months satisfactorily, and that raises thereafter <br />would be on an annual basis at no fixed amount. <br />Alotion unanimously carried. <br />LAW ENFORCEr?ET,IT ATTD <br />FIRE DEPARTP4ETIT SERVICES <br />N1AIPdTEI~TADICE MAN <br />rr~EGOTIATI0Pr5 <br />Councilman Ecklund moved, seconded by Councilman Black, APPOIr]TMEI~ITS TO THE <br />to approve the appointments by P~iayor Warkentien, of INT1IAN RIGHTS COMMISSION <br />Mrs. Sue Wyckoff, 1831 Arona Avenue for a term of one <br />year, and Mr. Walter T4cFarland, 191l~ Holton Avenue, for <br />a term of two years, to the Falcon Heights Human Rights <br />Commission. Motion carried. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes and Bookkeeper Eric Swanson, LIQUOR STORE REPORT <br />presented a liquor store analysis report of the operation <br />and expenditures of the Falcon Heights Municipal Liquor <br />Store for the period of December, 1972, through April 30, <br />1973, which is on file in the Clerk's office. <br />Fire report number 22 was noted.
