MINUTES OF REGULAR COUNCIL MEETI?JG ~' <br />FALCOAI HEIGI-iTS, MINNESOTA <br />.NLY 26, 1973 <br />A regular meeting of the Falcon Heights Village Council, was called to order by <br />Mayor Warkentien at 8:00 P.M. <br />Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black and Stone, and PRESENT <br />Councilwoman Stocker. Councilman Ecklund arrived <br />at 8:55 P.M. Also present were Clerk-Administrator <br />Barnes, Engineer Lemberg, and Attorney Kenefick. <br />None . ABSENT <br />Councilman Black moved, seconded by Councilman Stone, MINUTES <br />to approve the minutes of the meeting of July l2, 1973, <br />as corrected. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Black moved, seconded by Councilwoman Stocker, GASOLINE - FILLING STATION <br />to approve the following Gasoline - Filling Station LICENSE RENEWALS <br />License renewals for the period of July 1, 1973 to June <br />30, 1974: <br />Fill-Up Inc., 1693 N. Snelling <br />Garnet's Standard Service, 1691 N. Snelling <br />Motion unanimously carried. <br />The request for a variance by Marvin Flodin for the VARIANCE - 1466 W. LARPENTEUR <br />construction of a six car garage at 1166 W. Larpenteur <br />Avenue, was continued until the next meeting, due to the <br />fact that the Planning Commission did not have a quorum <br />present at its meeting of July 25, 1973. <br />Councilman Stone moved, seconded by Councilwoman Stocker, REMOVAL OF A TREE AT <br />to authorize Clerk-Administrator Barnes to contact Dr. 1777 ARONA AVENiTE <br />Hard, Village Horticulturist, to arrange for the re- <br />moval of a tree at 1777 Arona Avenue. Motion carried. <br />The Larpenteur Avenue Study report by Midwest Planning MIDWEST PLANNING & RESEARCH <br />and Research, Inc., was noted and discussed. The Council REPORT <br />stated they would like more specific data and recommen- <br />dations from Midwest Planning and would like the con- <br />tract completed through item 3A by the meeting of August <br />9, 1973. <br />Councilman Stone stated there will be a contract cost RAMSEY COUNTY SHERIFF'S <br />increase by the Ramsey County Sheriff's Department next CONTRACT COST INCREASE <br />year. Clerk-Administrator Barnes was directed to contact <br />Captain Spencer of the Ramsey County Sheriff's Department <br />and ask him to appear at the next Council meeting to <br />discuss this cost increase. <br />Clerk-Administrator Barnes was directed to write a letter POLICING CONTRACT OFFERED <br />to the Lauderdale Village Council requesting they meet TO LAUDERDALE <br />with the Village of Falcon Heights at an informal meeting <br />to discuss the policing proposal offered to Lauderdale <br />by the Village of Falcon Heights. <br />
