MINUTES OF REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br />FALCON HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA <br />OCTOBER 11, 1973 <br />1 <br />[~~ <br />~ '7 8 <br />A regular meeting of the Falcon Heights Village Council was called to order by <br />Mayor Warkentien at 8:00 P.M. <br />Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, and Stone, <br />and Councilwoman Stocker. Also present were Clerk-Ad- <br />ministrator Barnes, Engineer Lemberg and Attorney <br />Kenefick. <br />None . <br />Councilman Ecklund moved, seconded by Councilman Stone, <br />to approve the minutes of the meeting of September 27, <br />1973, as corrected. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Stone moved, seconded by Councilman Black, <br />to approve the minutes of the special meeting of October <br />1, 1973, as corrected. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Black moved, seconded by Councilman Ecklund, <br />that the request for a variance at 176l~ Asbury, by <br />Ronald A. P1elson, for the construction of a garage within <br />three feet of his neighbors property line on the south <br />side of his lot, be approved, as recommended by the <br />Falcon Heights Manning Commission at its meeting of <br />October 9, 1973, provided that the neighbor involved <br />has no objections and the rear yard set bak conforms <br />to the ordinance. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Black moved, seconded by Councilwoman Stocker, <br />that the request for a variance at 1506 W. California, <br />by Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Reiter, for an addition of three <br />feet to the rear of their garage, be approved. Said <br />addition would be three feet from the neighbors side <br />lot line, and has met with the neighbors approval. <br />Approval was recommended by the Falcon Heights Planning <br />Commission at its meeting of October 9, 1973. Motion <br />carried. <br />Councilman Stone introduced the following Resolution <br />and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION 73-28 <br />A RESOLUTION) CALLING FOR AN ELECTION ON GEI~TERAL OBLIGATION <br />BONDS OF 1973 IN THE AMOiTNT NOT TO EXCEED $100,000.00 FOR <br />THE PERIOD OF FIFTEEN YEARS FOR PARK IMPROVEMENT <br />Mayor Warkentien seconded the foregoing Resolution, and <br />upon a vote being taken th ereon, the following voted in <br />favor thereof: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, <br />Ecklund and Stone, and Councilwoman Stocker, and the <br />following voted against the same: T?one. Motion <br />carried. <br />PRESENT <br />ABSENT <br />MI1dUTES <br />VARIANCE - 176l~ ASBURY <br />VARIANCE - 1506 W. CALIFORNIA <br />PARK REFERENDUM <br />FALCON HEIGHTS COMMUNITY <br />PARK AT ftOSELAWN AND <br />CLEVELAND <br />Mr. Steve Simon and Mr. Peter Albrecht, were present to ORDINANCE AMENDMENT <br />discuss a proposed amendment to Ordinance 115, pertaining PERTAINING TO DRIVING WHILE <br />~~ to driving while under the influence of alcohol. This UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF <br />ordinance had been incorporated with the Minnesota State ALCOHOL <br />-_ <br />
