<br />1 <br />1 <br />Engineer Lemberg explained his report to the Council on <br />1`~Iunicipal State Aid Fund Usage which was presented to <br />the Council at the last meeting. With funds now avail- <br />able~ improvements could be made on Arona Avenue from <br />California to Hoyt, Crawford Avenue from Snelling to <br />Arona, and Garden Avenue from Snelling to Hamline. <br />Councilwoman Stocker moved, seconded by Councilman Stone, <br />that no assessments be made on any of the above nro~ects, <br />should the Council decide to make improvements on the <br />above streets. <br />Engineer Lemberg stated that these proects should be <br />completed in 1971, because of rising constructions and <br />labor costs. <br />The Council suggested that a hearing be set for the <br />second meeting of January, 197., to notify the people <br />involved on the forthcoming improvements. <br />MUNICIPAL STATE AID FUPID <br />REPORT <br />Attorney Doug Skor stated that he had discussed with CHANGES IN POLLII'dG PLACE <br />Attorney Kenefick the matter of changes in polling places <br />and that he had stated that he would not recommend any <br />change for the coming election. <br />Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilman Stone, <br />that a phone be installed in the Tlorthwest Greenhouse <br />precinct number four, for the day of the election. <br />PZotion carried. <br />Councilwoman Stocker stated that she, Councilman Ecklund, <br />and Clerk Administrator Barnes attended a Metro Council <br />committee meeting on the Domed Stadium, and that the <br />Stadium committee heard testimony on a proposed site of <br />between four and five hundred acres on the St. Paul <br />University Campus and Fairground property. She stated <br />that there will be more hearings regarding the stadium <br />and that the officials of the Village of Falcon Heights <br />will be invited to attend. <br />Fire reports numbers I~2 and i~3 were noted. <br />The Sheriff ~s report for September was noted, <br />INSTALLATIO?d OF PHONE IN <br />PRECITdCT FOUR <br />DOMED STADItm` <br />FIRE REPORTS <br />SHERIFF+S REPORT <br />Councilman Stone moved, seconded by Councilman Ecklund, GEP~AL PAYROLL <br />that the general payroll for the second half of October, <br />1973, in the amount of $2, 916.Ot~, be approved. Motion <br />carried. <br />Councilman B1a ck moved, seconded by Councilwoman Stocker, GE?'~1ERAL DISBURSEMENTS <br />that the general disbursements for the second half of <br />October, 1973, in the amount of $19,727.06, be approved. <br />P"otion carried. <br />Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilman Black, LIQUOR PAYROLL <br />that the liquor payroll for the second half of October, <br />1973, in the amount of $1,29~?.98, be approved. Motion <br />carried. <br />
