Motion carried. <br />Clerk-Administrator Barnes reported that a Clark's <br />Submarine Sandwich franchise has expressed an interest <br />in the Gulf Oil Station property, and proposes to <br />remodel it if purchased. The Council stated that if <br />this were to be done, that the fuel tanks on the <br />property would have to be removed. <br />Councilman Steele stated that he felt the City of <br />Falcon Heights could be getting more publicity in <br />the Sun "lewspaper, as it has been designated as the <br />official newspaper of the City of Falcon Heights. <br />Mayor Warkentien explained that the Council had <br />spoken with the editor of the Sun at a Council meeting, <br />but that the Council has received no cooperation on <br />this matter. Councilman Ecklund, <br />Falcon Heights' representative to the Ramsey County <br />Trails Commission, reported that proposals are being <br />looked into, and as of this time proposals and plans <br />for bike trails and other trails are being formulated. <br />Councilman Steele inquired if there was any way that <br />the Council could prohibit the billboards on the <br />buildings in the business district. Attorney Kenefick <br />was directed to look into this matter. <br />BILLBOARDS -BUSINESS DISTRICT <br />Councilman Ecklund moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, GENERAL PAYROLL <br />to approve the general payroll for the first half of <br />March, 19711, in the amount_of $3,615.11. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Steele moved, seconded by Councilman Ecklund, GENERAL DI SBURSENIENTS <br />to app rove the general disbursements for the first half <br />of March, 19711, in the amount of $6,5119.76. Motion <br />carried. <br />Councilman Black moved, seconded by Councilman Steele, LIQUOR PAYROLL <br />to approve the liquor payroll for the first half of <br />March, 19711, in the amount of $1, 3711.37. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Black moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, LIQUOR DISBUR,SFNIENTS <br />to approve the liquor disbursements for the first half <br />of March, 197!1, in the amount of $11,500.75.
